Chapter 5-1: Downtown of Crag

Storyline text

Still worried about Tippi's condition, Mario and friends opened the fifth door.

They still needed to find three Pure Hearts...

But the imminent destruction of the world was approaching at an alarming pace.

Would Mario have enough time to save the day?

And what foul trick would Count Bleck and his goons come up with next?

This adventure grew more dangerous...and more thrilling... with every step!

Floro Sapiens
Mario's first encounter with Floro Sapiens.

The first time Mario and co. enter Downtown of Crag, they finds themselves suspended in mid-air; the Cyan Door opens directly into the air. After a humorous little remark from Tippi, they fall to the ground.

It just so happens that, when Mario and co. appear, two Cragnons are pleading to the Big Rock Who Watches to save their race, directly below Mario, Peach and Bowser. Believing Mario, Peach and Bowser to have been sent by the Rock, they welcome them and brief them on what is happening: the Floro Sapiens are capturing Cragnons. As if on cue, some Cragnons get caputred just as Mario and friends learn about the problem, and the chase begins.

Mario and co's chasing of the Floro Sapiens will lead them through a rocky, barren area infested with Putrid Piranhas, Muths, and Moon Clefts. In the end, after they has solved some Cragnon puzzles, Mario and his party will reach the Gap of Crag.
