Cudge

Cudge is a Pixl in the game Super Paper Mario. He is the eighth Pixl found in the game. Cudge is used as a Hammer, as his name implies. He can be used to destroy both easily seen or camouflaged Yellow Blocks. Interestingly, he notes that he was not always a Pixl, meaning that Pixls might not be an actual species, but just a transformed being. (Indeed, Carson reveals in one of his many stories that Pixls are created through putting the spirit of an unknown entity into a man-made vessel designed for a certain purpose.) This Catch Card description may be referring to this when it says "he's a real people Pixl", or it may be referring to him having good social abilities.

Cudge is found in Gap of Crag after the heroes insert the Elemental Tablets into the pillars. Before he joins the team, he asks the player what his or her favorite word is. The word typed in is what Cudge will scream out (with an exclamation mark) afterwords (e.g. If the player types in "MARIO", Cudge will scream "MARIO!"). He then joins the team.

Trivia

• Cudge's name is a pun on "cudgel", used to refer to a blunt weapon, such as a Hammer.
• Cudge's power is nearly identical to the Hammer used in previous Paper Mario games, as it does double damage to that of a jump attack, it can break Yellow Blocks, and, as with a first strike, it can hit flying enemies.

Trivia

• If the player types in"MY NAME IS COUNT BLECK!!" as their favorite word, Cudge will say "AAK!" and will flip away. If the player flips to 3D he will ask you again what your favorite word is.
