Shock Absorbers is an 8-Player minigame in Mario Party 7. Its name is a pun on electric shocks and "shock absorbers," mechanical devices meant to soften jolts sustained by moving vehicles. This is the first minigame in the Mario Party series to have the same English name as an unrelated minigame in a previous game.
Gameplay[edit]
In this minigame, each of the eight players is secluded inside a box with three buttons, and the players have to hit the button that lights up. When all three buttons are blinking red, players must duck to avoid the jolt. As the minigame progresses, players must react faster. If a player hits an incorrect button, is zapped by all three buttons, or does not hit a button in time, they are eliminated after being shocked. The last player standing wins for their team, even if that player's teammate was eliminated. If remaining players from different teams get shocked at the same time, the minigame ends in a tie.
