Pokey Punch-out is a 4-Player minigame in Mario Party 6. The background resembles Shifting Sand Land from Super Mario 64. There are only aesthetic changes between daytime and nighttime.

The page "Prickly Brawl" in the game's Miracle Book, which depicts Waluigi and Koopa Kid punching Pokeys, is based on this minigame.

Introduction[edit]

The players are standing in the middle of the desert. They are then shocked as several Pokeys emerge from the ground behind them.

Gameplay[edit]

The players must attack the Pokeys' body segments by punching or kicking. To win, one must punch out more Pokey segments than anybody else. Players earn points by attacking a Pokey's segments. Attacking a Pokey's head destroys all its body segments at once, adding the appropriate number to the player's score. Players can also stun each other by jumping on and punching each other. Any player with the most points when time runs out wins.

This minigame appears as the sixth minigame in Decathlon Park. Here, the player's objective is to attack as many Pokey segments as possible to earn as many points as possible, up to 1,000. The default record for this minigame in Decathlon Park is 15 points.

Ending[edit]

Any Pokeys left on the field retract back into the ground. The players stay where they are, then winners do winning poses and, unless everyone has the same score, losers do losing poses.
