Ball Dozers is a 1-vs.-3 minigame in Mario Party 6.

Overview[edit]

In the introduction, the view changes from the bottom of the area to the top. The players then emerge from the sides of the screen, and the minigame begins as the balls roll into the arena from Warp Pipes.

The players must use their hammers to smash the pegs impeding their balls' progress and allow them to roll to the bottom of the pinball machine-like area. The team players have a much bigger blue ball, while the solo player has a much smaller orange ball. The side whose ball reaches the bottom first wins.

In the ending, the winning team's ball rolls down the pipe at the bottom of the area. The winner(s) then perform(s) their victory animation(s) in the center of the area. If the minigame ends in a tie, both teams perform their losing animation(s).

Controls[edit]

  • Control Stick – Move
  • A Button – Swing hammer

In-game text[edit]

  • Rules"Break obstacles with your hammer to open a path for the ball to roll to the goal."
  • Advice"The three-player team has to cooperate to smash any pegs in their way!"

Naming[edit]

The minigame's name is a portmanteau of ball and "bulldozers", a type of construction vehicle.

Notes[edit]

  • If one team's ball rolls down the pipe after the timer hits 0, a glitch will occur where the team that got their ball in the pipe doing their victory animation(s), while the other team can be seen performing their losing animation(s). The minigame can also be seen reloading to the winning cutscene status and the screen is still split into two, due to the trigger of the black fade, different camera position and single screen for the winning cutscene not activating. Noticeably, the winning team can always be seen teleporting to the left screen. Even if the team players (on the right screen) win, they can be seen teleporting to the left screen, while the solo player teleports to the right screen. Despite all this, the minigame still ends in a tie and the the tie music will play, as well as the word "Tie" showing up on the screen and the announcer calling it out.[1]:6:26
