Pitifall is a luck-based Duel minigame found in Mario Party 6.

Overview[edit]

The goal of the minigame is to swing from a rope and land on the platform that the players cannot see. Three Shy Guys are holding three ropes. Both players have to pick one of them. The players swing, holding on to the ropes and letting go, which is done automatically. If neither player lands on the platform, a Fly Guy randomly picks up one of the players, and that player wins.

In the PAL version of Mario Party 6, Pitifall does not appear in Endurance Alley, as the minigame is luck-based.

Controls[edit]

  • Control Stick – Move the cursor
  • A Button – Choose a rope

In-game text[edit]

  • Rules"Choose one of the three ropes. Whoever chooses correctly and swings to the platform wins!"
  • Advice"If neither player swings safely to the platform, a Fly Guy will rescue just one of them."

Naming[edit]

The name is a portmanteau of "pitiful" and "pitfall."
