Enemy list proposal[edit]
For this proposal, what was your intended primary ordering of lists, after grouping the enemies by variants? Was it alphabetically, by significance, or by level appearance (chronologically) like Megadardery mentioned? Or was the primary order not relevant to the proposal?
Mario JC 02:31, June 4, 2024 (EDT)
- i don't really think it's my place to decide! that'd take a whole another proposal. i just wanted to group the variants together, the actual order can be whatever it already was. megadardery is the one who started ordering them chronologically (which i agree with), but i don't think there was ever a consensus about it. EvieMaybe (talk) 12:55, June 5, 2024 (EDT)
- Okay, just wanted to clarify.
- Just thought you should know too that someone created a page for a topic you're working on, if you wanted to contribute.

About the "splitting enemy behavior for certain games" proposal[edit]
I added an option that is more like what you were thinking, by the way. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 03:28, October 2, 2024 (EDT)
Splitting RPG fights?[edit]
Noticed this passed proposal. I do agree on its principle. But, with the same principle in mind, I also recommend considering how we deal with pages of recurring character fights such as Bowser, Koopa Troopa, Goomba, and others. Those pages are big enough, and they are going to keep getting bigger as we keep getting more games like Mario & Luigi and Paper Mario. I do think there has to be an easier way for readers to access information and editors to maintain content about particular Bowser fights without having to deal with the rest of Bowser's giant page.
It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 23:05, December 27, 2024 (EST)
- i don't think it's warranted for stuff like enemies because those essentially work the same in most games in the series. you just have to describe how goombas behave in SMB1, PM64, MLSS and then you can just build off of that for their other appearances. bowser, however, is an interesting case because basically all of his fights are completely different from eachother. i don't know what splitting bowser's history page could look like, but i do think it's a good idea on paper. —

The unused images[edit]
Hi. Yeah, you can delete them. Those are very old, like from 2010. Rýgon (talk) - 5:48 p.m., January 16th, 2024 (UTC−7)
Sandbox categories[edit]
Sorry for bringing this up twice, but I feel like user sandboxes shouldn't be included in mainspace categories. Category:Virtual Boy games and the like containing "User:EvieMaybe/Wariolandbox" looks odd. Was this a mistake? I'm bringing it up here since I don't think I'm allowed to edit those pages. Antonblast references[edit]
Some pointers for the Antonblast references page:
- So for the So Retro spray paint, the description references a Mario meme, that being based on a fanmade Super Mario Bros. themed van, made in Forza Horizon 4 by TenOunceGames. Not sure where to list that, since this is from a third-party fanmade art piece.
- Devil-ish spray paint's description quotes from Hornstromp FNF 3D's video "Mario.Exe Vs Gregory & Sonic - Fnaf Animation", and is said by Mario himself as he becomes corrupted. About that one, I'm not really sure if we wanna include this considering this is also referenced from a fanmade video that also eventually turned into a meme for some reason.
- As I mentioned in the MarioWiki Discord, the Satan Phase 1 boss battle is indeed inspired by the Shake King boss battle in Wario Land: Shake It!, as confirmed by Tony Grayson in the Summitsphere Discord server (Summit Inn). I've already posted the relevant chat screenshots for reference, so yeah.
Anyways, hope you're having a good day. --CyonOfGaia (talk) 05:02, February 3, 2025 (EST)
- @CyonOfGaia oh yeah, i caught all of these! i didn't want to reference the first two since they're references to fan works (unlike, say, the Gangsta Mario image, which is rooted in the Sunshine artwork). as for the third one, i really appreciate the source! will add it as soon as possible. —

Re:Italian name for Peach's Castle Garden[edit]
...Good question. I could swear I took it from somewhere in the game, but I'm checking in some gameplays, the save/map/warp tags (but it's "Castello di Peach"/"Cast. di Peach", same as the interior)... I can't find it. Must be from some NPC dialogue, but I have no idea which one? Thinking about it, where does the English name come from?
Mariuigi Khed 16:12, March 7, 2025 (EST)
- @Mariuigi Khed that's kind of the issue, Spencer PK has been searching and couldn't find anything. i hoped your source might help find an English name. either way, it's very good information, cuz it means Peach's Castle Garden might not be a separate area at all. —
eviemaybe (talk / contributions) 16:17, March 7, 2025 (EST)
- For now I'll put "Peach's Castle" in the language section, but I'll be on the lookout for "Garden".

Split Bowser's Castle in Paper Jam[edit]
I'm asking you this since you were the proposer of the proposal that split these iterations, is Bowser's Castle (Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam) one you would have considered including in the proposal among the versions to split?
Nightwicked Bowser
08:36, March 19, 2025 (EDT)
- @Nightwicked Bowser i somehow skipped that one, but yes! honestly, i think Neo Bowser Castle should be split into Dream Team and Paper Jam, and then Paper Jam Neo Castle should get merged with regular Paper Jam Castle. —
eviemaybe (talk / contributions) 11:34, March 19, 2025 (EDT)
- I think I'd still prefer having Neo Bowser Castle seperate from the ground Bowser's Castle.

- I would've posted it here, but I did it on my talk page. Keeping to my word about working with you, I'll begin by saying that I made an edit to the Bullet Biff page, if you'd like to make sure it's done alright. Super Mario RPG (talk) 00:13, March 24, 2025 (EDT)
- it is a good edit! definitely more orderly and easier to read, while keeping all the information. good job. —
eviemaybe (talk / contributions) 00:17, March 24, 2025 (EDT)
- I'm glad you like it. I also have a proposal about Overview sections that is admittedly vague but should help with making content more visible to read on some of the loose corners of the wiki. I'm not trying to solicit any vote, but I think there needs to be community input at some point. Super Mario RPG (talk) 00:24, March 24, 2025 (EDT)

Articles[edit]
How is my Stump edit? Does the third paragraph of the Super Mario 64 section belong under "Notes"? Super Mario RPG (talk) 11:43, March 24, 2025 (EDT)
- it seems alright, though i'd personally move that note to the SM64 section. you don't need to ask staff for every edit you make, you know? i appreciate the wariness, but as long as you take previous feedback into account and take things slowly you won't have to ask anyone for verification —

Congrats on winning my proposal![edit]
remember my proposal about the visual editor? the one you voted against? well your reasoning made me change my mind about the proposal. like if someone doesn't want to learn how to edit the Mariowiki, do they even want to edit the mariowiki really? Here's your reward
now tell me how to delete this proposal without getting in trouble for "deleting votes."
— The preceding unsigned comment was added by Colin's world 3 YT (talk).
- @Colin's world 3 YT I'm glad I could change your mind, I guess? You're allowed to cancel the proposal if you want to, since it's been less than four days (see rule 19 in MarioWiki:Proposals). Here's a step-by-step:
- Copy-paste the contents of the proposal at the bottom of the current proposal archive page (MarioWiki:Proposals/Archive/78). You'll notice the first proposal in this page is listed as "cancelled by proposer"; just copy that, but with your own proposal.
- Add an entry for it in the big list of proposals in the main archive (MarioWiki:Proposals/Archive). Make sure to use the "Show preview" button while editing to make sure you got it right, since it's got a lot of parameters to keep track of.
- Delete the proposal from the main page.
- Good luck, and happy editing! Make sure to message me or another staff member if you have any more doubts. —

RE:Re: Unsourced foreign names[edit]
I know, but how do I source a level's name? Especially when Italian videos of it are lacking? It feels cheap to just add "In-game name". I am looking for the source code, so I can also add the other languages, but I can't find anything.
