A Yellow Car is an obstacle found in Mario Kart DS. They are found driving on the main roads in Shroom Ridge of the Flower Cup, and in Mushroom Bridge of the Leaf Cup. They resemble the Red Cars and Blue Cars from Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, only they are slightly longer and yellow in color.

Hitting a Yellow Car makes the player spin out briefly, having the same effect as a Banana. They cannot be killed or thrown off of the course; the players must simply drive around them to avoid a wreck.

They reappeared in Mario Kart Wii on Moonview Highway. However, unlike in Mario Kart DS, they don't have the same effect as a Banana when getting hit by them. Instead, they flip karts over or flatten them momentarily.
