Another Name Idea

Crazy Name Idea

I got one...maybe the article every time it says Yoshi Kid it will be replaced with {{'''User:Yourname/Yoshi Kid'''}} which contains the name you gave your Yoshi Kid.

THE official name?

Check out the E3 2004 Paper Mario 2 presentation on IGN. http://media.cube.ign.com/media/573/573664/vids_4.html (Part 1 or 2, I think. It's been very long since I viewed the video myself.) Name Game

Feel free to revise or remove the trivia point. Personally, I don't find it notable as a trivia. The "speaking in parentheses" is a mechanic to illustrate the character is speaking in another language, but is being translated for your convenience. The Yoshi Kid doesn't speak in parentheses because, quite obviously, he's speaking the same language as Mario. Redstar 16:24, 21 December 2009 (EST)

Article name

Can we settle this? The current name, with the game in parentheses, is atrociously long. Would anyone oppose moving it to simply "The Yoshi Kid"? While "Yoshi Kid" would be preferable, it's not necessarily a name but a title and it was brought up that there are "other" Yoshi "kids". Yoshi Kid sounds good. There are two Yoshis in TTYD(one is found on the Excess Express after you beat world 6) but this article only mentions the Yoshi partner... That just gave me another idea: Why not Yoshi (partner)? Fawfulfury65

You are incorrect, KS3. "Yoshi" is the given name to this character if no name is given, thus making it official. Hello, I'm Time Turner.

Actually, it should not be moved. The latest appearance of the character was in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, where it appeared as a sticker. The name was "Yoshi (Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door)" and the latest reference always takes precedence, as per MarioWiki:Naming.

A Yellow Yoshi's typical behavioral traits would conflict with the character's scripted personality anyway; that's probably why it wasn't an optional color. The base on the color timer

Is the timer that determines the Yoshi's color based on gameplay (meaning if you save and quit, the timer stops from save point to when you open your file), or does it refer to the GameCube/Wii clock like the Happy Lucky Lottery (meaning the timer keeps ticking no matter what)? --Dus T. 09:09, 22 April 2011 (EDT)
