A Lottery Shop is a store for lottery in Mario Party 4 where players can play lottery games to win prizes. Each game costs five coins to play. There are two types of games, one of which is randomly chosen when the player enters the shop. The ball-type game involves turning the control stick until a colored ball pops out of a machine. A blue ball indicates a 3rd prize, a pink one is a 2nd prize, and a yellow one is a 1st prize. A white ball however is nothing.

The scratch ticket game involves the player picking one of twelve scratch cards and scratching it to reveal a number to indicate third, second, or first prize, indicated by numbers 3, 2, and 1 respectively. A "3" indicates a 3rd prize, a "2" is a 2nd prize, and a "1" is a 1st prize. A "Try Again" is nothing; which means the player must try again the next time they come to the Lottery Shop.

The prizes are an item (either a Super Mega Mushroom or Super Mini Mushroom) for the 3rd prize, 50 coins for the 2nd, and 100 coins for the 1st.

Additionally, if it is a player's first visit to the lottery shop and the visit came before the last five turns of the game, the player receives a free Lucky Party Ticket. Also, if any players enter the shop while mini, a block is provided for them to stand on when playing.
