MarioWiki:Changing username
The wiki software allows bureaucrats to change any user account to a new name, as long as it's not already in-use by someone else.
All edits made by the user will be changed in the edit history to reflect the change. However, this feature has been somewhat abused in the past, so there are some limits:
Previous renames are archived: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12.
Instructions
- Create a new subsection at the bottom of the page using this syntax:
=== CurrentName to NewName === - Below this, use {{rename user}} and put both your current and desired names (both case-sensitive), using this format:
{{rename user|CurrentName|NewName}} - Leave a comment as to why you want the change after the template and then save the page.
- Bureaucrats will check this page regularly and if accepted can use the "Rename" link on the top-right corner of each section to directly change the username and move all userspace pages.
- The bureaucrat will say whether the name change is accepted or rejected in each section, and if rejected, why (such as already being given a name change over the preceding 12 months).

I don't like the username that much, I was in my teens when I chose that name. Just want to change to something more unique and that's associate with me.
While keeping Luigi in it as he's still one of my favorite characters, the "Cube" refers to the GameCube, as it's one of my favorite Nintendo consoles that I grew up with.

I still use the 3000 moniker in my name for certain specific situations, but it's mostly in a "formal" type of way for my name. I don't think I'm so much as associated with the number these days, I mostly just go by UltraMario.
I am aware that I made a previous alternate account when I had lost my password at one point with this exact name, but I assume something can be done in this case because it is the same user requesting the change. Probably.

I came up with a new name after 3 years with that, as I would like to change my username and rebrand for the Super Mario Wiki from "Ethan Cross Media" to "Ethan Arts And Studios" (the same name used for my social media feeds and Minecraft Java and Bedrock username, stylized as "Ethan Arts & Studios" in the logo I made, but containing an "&" symbol). Thought it would be a phase, but no, it's not, I've been stuck being this dumb guy from Dynasty Warriors in multiple venues since January and looks like he's not going away any time soon.
