Consecutive edits[edit]
| Please stop making unconstructive edits on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing. If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
As per your previous reminder, please remember to use the "Preview" button when editing pages to avoid making too many consecutive edits. Your recent edits to the Goomba page have been mostly small changes to a single section, which should have been condensed into one or two edits. Additionally, try not to archive talk pages with recent discussions, as it makes following up on those discussions unnecessarily harder, such as having to make this new section. — Lady Sophie_17

- I usually preview my edits, but sometimes forget or take longer to think of changes I want to make. Also, I thought my talk page discussion were old enough to arxchive, but I'll wait longer in the future. Thanks. —

Signature[edit]
If you wish to use a custom signature, you need to create it on User:Sargent Deez/sig first and use that page to sign instead of signing with raw code. After creating it, type in the "New signature" field in your preferences and tick the "Treat signature as wikitext" checkbox.

Signature[edit]
Dear Sargent Deez, Your current signature is in violation of one or more of the rules listed on MarioWiki:Signatures. Please change your signature and keep the regulations and requirements in mind when creating future designs. If you have not made the appropriate changes within one week of receiving this notice, your signature will be changed for you. |
Hello, Sargent Deez, your signature doesn't link to your userpage. Please change it by changing — to — . Also replace
with a static image, as having a static image with a animated image on your signature is also against the policy.

Re: Appearance sections in Super Mario Galaxy enemy pages[edit]
...why did you make them collapsible? they're really compact, they don't need it. — eviemaybe

- That's how it looked in the proposal. I figure if we ever add lists of appearances for other games on enemy articles, it would look cleaner. —

On your costumes userpage[edit]
Hi! Sorry to bug you, but I noticed you just created User:Sargent Deez/Costumes, which appears to be a draft for a new page. I'm not here to that you can't do that, I'm not staff, but it is possible that you are not aware of the extant Palette swap page, which is about the same topic. I figured it was a good idea to bring it to your attention. Salmancer (talk) 11:54, October 13, 2025 (EDT)
Re: Palette swap edits[edit]
hello! i noticed your contributions to the Palette swap article, and while i do appreciate them, i want to ask you to please use the "preview edit" button. that page is on my watchlist and i've gotten upwards of 12 consecutive notifications about it because of your constant minor tweaks. — eviemaybe

RE: "Frappe Snowland"[edit]
If you're not an expert on the genre, then you probably shouldn't make a guess on assigning it to a theme's article. I can't pinpoint what genre it would be myself and am not about to assume, but I can tell for sure it's not dream pop, which is generally more relaxed and ethereal than that. There's also a difference between using synth sounds and using synthesised instruments to emulate their original sounds (like horns, bells, and strings in this case, to sound more Christmas-y/winter-themed). Downtempo is also much more slow and ambient (literally low-tempo, which Frappe Snowland is not). A theme has to sound a certain way to fit in the genre, not just because it ticks the boxes of the genre's traits.

- I'm so sorry, I didn't see all of the changes you made in this edit, like moving the information about the final lap's tempo and pitch increase. I've restored most of your edit, but I do want to say that, after relistening to some of the most popular sophisti-pop artists (e.g., Sade and Swing Out Sister), I stand by my assessment. I'm thinking we need a system to decide on genres in situations like these going forward. —

- Like I said, the instruments in the theme, to me, are trying to sound like live instruments like brass (accordion in the DS version), kalimba, tambourine (I mistook it for bells earlier), and strings or organ in the second half, none of which are commonly associated with this genre, so I'm finding it hard to believe the theme belongs in it. I don't doubt these themes have influences from various genres, but actually categorising them in those genres doesn't sit right with me, especially if the influence is subtle.

Re: Donkey Kong 3[edit]
Firstly, thank you so much for sorting through all the citations and whatnot. Secondly, though, in regards to the Ports section on Donkey Kong 3, we're not too familiar with the original Donkey Kong 3, but is there not a better spot to put the Donkey Kong 3: Dai Gyakushū information? Mostly since, as someones familiar with that game, one of the main things we do know about the main Donkey Kong 3 is that Dai Gyakushū is definitely not a "port" of the original. :O

- Thank you! I was thinking the same things about Dai Gyakushū, but when researching, found many sources call it a port. I obviously don't agree, but thought that putting it under Ports may help clear up this misconception. Then again, giving it it's own section would do the same, if not better, so I will let you decide. —

- We reckon either moving it to its own section, or maybe rephrasing it to fit in the "references in later games" sections, is probably smartest. Mostly since we're worried that, by putting a section clarifying it's not actually a port in the section about ports... People merely skimming the page might end up with the opposite impression.

Cookie Monster[edit]
You added this name on the Yoshi's Cookie page for this enemy; do you know where you got it from?
Mario JC 03:31, February 3, 2026 (UTC)
- Yes, I got it from this sprite sheet. I'm not sure where the uploaded found the name, or if they made it up. I decided to use it as a conjectural name, since I looked through the manual and magazines of the time for an official name but found nothing. —
