The Giant Pencil is an item from Tamagotchi. Their sole appearance in the Super Mario franchise is in Mario Kart Arcade GP 2 as one of Mametchi's special items, the other four being Bagubagutchi, Mame Block, Chibi Syrup, and Mame Drink.
Upon using the Giant Pencil, the racer will begin to repeatedly swing it for a short amount of time. If a rival gets too close to the attacking racer, the rival will get knocked over.
Similar items include the Hammer, the 10T Hammer, and the Thunder Stick.
