This segment is the Club Mario segment that aired alongside The Legend of Zelda episode "That Sinking Feeling," replacing the original live-action segment "Tutti Frutti, oh Mario." This series finale is primarily a clip show, featuring several clips of outtakes of previous segments of the show, similarly to "Message in a Bottle Show," the final episode of the Donkey Kong Country television series. Despite this being the last segment, the segment features no indication of the series ending, with Tommy Treehugger and Co-MC telling the viewer that they will see them next time like in the other segments. It is also the only segment where Co-MC and Evil Eric are present in the same segment.
Plot synopsis[edit]
The segment starts with Tommy and Co-MC managing to get Club Mario on the TV in their titular studio, with the latter mentioning that it is their 65th time. They then welcome the viewer to their show, with Tommy explaining that they are going to watch Spaced Out Theater, adding that this is their 65th show. Co-MC adds that they have some special content for the viewer; they will show them the best and the worst of Club Mario. Tommy adds that they will be watching The Legend of Zelda episode "That Sinking Feeling," though Co-MC mentions that it will be after Spaced Out Theater.
Tommy and Co-MC then "satellite surf" to Spaced Out Theater, where Princess Centauri says that she and the viewer will find out if Bhodi Li and his friends survive being chased by their worst fears. She then adds that she knows what will happen; the viewer just needs to watch. She then shows clips of the Photon episode "Maze of Fear." After showing the clips, Princess Centauri comments that Bhodi is always on the brink of disaster, adding that her worst fear is having green skin and being dressed in pinkish-purple, though later admits that she was just kidding.
After the show, the scene cuts back to Club Mario, where Tommy and Co-MC comment that Spaced Out Theater is still exciting after 65 shows. The former says that the viewer will see some Club Mario outtakes later on, but will be watching The Legend of Zelda right now. The scene then fades to the segment's featured cartoon episode.
After the cartoon, the scene cuts back to Club Mario, where Tommy is sticking his head between a skull and remote on the table. He then tells the viewer that he and Co-MC are going to watch some outtakes of Club Mario, where his co-host Co-MC messes up. However, Co-MC corrects him, saying that he got everything right the first time. After commenting about his bad breath, Tommy says that he messes up more times than he does saying that they should see for themselves.
The scene then cuts to the TV, which is showing outtakes of a segment. In the first outtake, Evil Eric greeting Francis before fumbling on what he should say, before saying that he forgot what he was going to ask him. The second outtake features him greeting Francis before asking him if he wants a muffin, with a muffin being thrown to him. Confused by the muffin, Evil Eric tells him that he should have it. The third outtake features Francis picking up a GamePro poster before asking if he should stop, with Evil Eric saying that he ruined the shot.
The TV then shows outtakes of the Club Mario segment for The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! episode "Robo Koopa," featuring Evil Eric fumbling his closing lines for the segment. After a brief loop of Co-MC saying "What's wrong with that?", the TV then shows an outtake of Tommy and Co-MC laughing after the former mentions that robots will eventually run everything.
Tommy is in disbelief after having seen the clips, asking Co-MC what he knows about outtakes or TV, explaining that he was hired before he was. Co-MC explains that, what he learned, he did not even know yet. Tommy asks him to prove to him, with him being handed a giant pencil as Co-MC mentions that he makes more money than him. They, finding it dangerous, exclaim to a crew member that they should be careful, with Co-MC saying that they could poke someone's eye out with it. Tommy says that they should watch some more outtakes, with the scene then cutting to the TV.
The TV then shows outtakes of the Club Mario segment for The Legend of Zelda episode "Fairies in the Spring." The first outtake features Tommy exclaiming that he is the "springtime fairy," causing him Co-MC to laugh, the latter of which falls onto the ground. The second outtake features Tommy hopping through the air as the clip briefly reverses before playing normally.
The TV then shows an outtake of another Club Mario segment, where Tommy is on the phone with Co-MC. He explains that he is at Club Mario while sitting at home on and watching it on his TV, explaining that he cannot say the word "fuck" on television. The TV then shows an outtake of the Club Mario segment for The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! episode "Butch Mario & The Luigi Kid," where Chris zooms the camera in too far, knocking over the skull on the table. Tommy comments that he scared him, with Co-MC asking if he is from Canada. The TV then shows a final outtake, where Co-MC introducing the viewer to another edition of "Are You Bogus?", with his voice deepening at the end. As Co-MC wonders what happened to his voice, the scene cuts back to Club Mario, where Co-MC explains that all of the outtakes that the viewer saw were staged, explaining that he would never mess up. Tommy adds that, though he messes up all of the time, he mentions that it was fun, saying that they are paid whether they mess up or not. After Co-MC mentions that he is paid more for not messing up, he and Tommy say goodbye to the viewer, telling them that they will see them next time, "where the airwaves are [their] waves."
