Plot synopsis[edit]

The segment starts with Tommy Treehugger and Co-MC welcoming the viewer to the Blue Velvet Roof Lounge at Club Mario, located in Hotel Grizio on exit 47 of the Great Bear Lake Freeway. The latter says that it is time do the synopsis of "Sing for the Unicorn," and he and Tommy begin singing a synopsis of the episode. After their song, the audience begins applauding them, with Tommy complimenting the audience as being beautiful, though Co-MC adds that they are not even half as beautiful as him. Tommy says that, when says a compliment like that, it brings a tear to his eye, with Co-MC saying that he moves him like no other man can. They then sit down, with Co-MC saying that they are going to transition into the cartoon, with the audience then applauding them again.

After the cartoon, Co-MC welcomes the viewer back to the Starlight Lounge, though wonders if it is the Velvet Blue Lounge. Tommy corrects him by saying it is the Blue Velvet Roof Lounge, with Co-MC saying that, as they are on tour, he forgets where they are from night to night. Co-MC says that, by request, they will sing a melody, with them singing a song before "satellite surfing" to Spaced Out Theater, with the audience applauding.

On Spaced Out Theater, Princess Centauri tells the viewer that it is back, explaining that they are number three in the ratings and have good demos. She then recaps the viewer by saying that, last time, Bhodi Li and his new friend were taking synchronized swimming lessons, saying that they should check them out. She then shows clips from the Photon episode "Friends and Enemies." After showing the clips, Princess Centauri sarcastically comments that Bhodi is very skilled at getting himself into trouble, though adds that he always seems to escape, commenting that it is similar to Tommy.

The scene cuts back to Club Mario, where the audience is applauding as Tommy welcomes the viewer back to the Blue Velvet Roof Lounge, saying that he and Co-MC are going to speak to a few members of the audience. He then walks up to a man wearing a boater hat and a brown-haired woman, asking them for their names. The man replies that he is Stan Grinkle, while the woman replies that she is Ernette Grinkle. As the Grinkles attempt to hand the microphone back to him, Tommy tells them to keep it, as he has one in his pocket. He then asks them what they are doing here, to which Stan responds that it is Ernette's anniversary, though she corrects him by saying it is actually their anniversary. He then explains that they have been married for fourteen years, explaining that they have been great together. However, Ernette corrects him by saying that it is actually 25 years. Tommy explains that they have something special for these guests, asking Joe to come. He then hands Tommy a Super Mario Bros. balloon, who then hands it to Stan, telling them that he should have it. Stan asks Tommy if he has one for his wife, to which he responds that he should not be greedy; the balloon is to be shared between both of them.

Co-MC points to another man in a boater hat, asking him for his name. The man responds that he is Clark Daring, a fertilizer salesman. Co-MC asks if he runs a mail order business, to which he responds in the negative. Co-MC comments that he is very witty before asking Joe what they have for him. Joe then hands Daring a Super Mario Bros. balloon as Co-MC tells him that he should never change. As the audience applauds after receiving the Super Mario Bros. balloons, Tommy tells them that it is all of the time they have at the Blue Velvet Roof Lounge, telling them that they will see them next time on Club Mario.
