Stair Scare is a Duel minigame found in Mario Party Advance.

In Shroom City mode, the player plays this against Whomp on the first floor of Duel Tower. Defeating him allows the player to advance to the next floor, as well as unlocking the minigame in the other modes.

Introduction

The competitors are both standing on the staircase when an earthquake suddenly occurs, followed by the staircase falling apart stair by stair behind them.

Gameplay

Both players must run up the staircase as quickly as possible as it collapses behind them. Players run by rapidly pressing A Button. At the end of the course is a hot air balloon; whoever reaches this first is the winner. A player also automatically wins by climbing too far ahead of their opponent.

Controls
