Vase-Based is an enemy found in the game Virtual Boy Wario Land. It is a small but aggressive, ghostly creature with a large head and a sharp tail. The species hold two spears in either hand, which are both identical and appear to be very similar to its tail. Vase-Based is encountered in the tenth level of the game, in an enclosed room where a Vase is found. Whenever a Vase is tipped to the side by Wario, a Vase-Based is released and will begin to jump around the room, attempting to harm Wario with its three spears if it gets the chance. Wario can stun a Vase-Based by jumping on the unprotected part of the creature’s head, which will cause it to flip over and fall to the ground.
