This article is about the move from Mario Tennis Aces. For Duck Hunt's neutral special move in the Super Smash Bros. series, see Trick Shot (Duck Hunt).

The Trick Shot is a new confirmed element in Mario Tennis Aces when playing a game. They increase the player's energy significantly, but are a risky maneuver. If the player struggles, they may waste their energy, or lose a point. Each character has their forward/backward Trick Shot and their side Trick Shot.

Controls

There are two ways the player can perform the Trick Shot:

  1. Hitting the ball whilst using the right analog stick.
  2. Pressing the top button/X twice whilst moving in the direction the player wants to go.

Character Side Trick Shot Forward/backward Trick Shot
Mario Mario jumps in the air doing a back flip, and hits the ball. Mario jumps backwards and does a 360-degree spin on his hand, hitting the ball.
Peach Peach runs to the side, and throws up her tennis racket. She performs a kart wheel, catches the tennis racket and hits the ball. Peach steps forward/backward and performs a double-twirl, during which she hits the ball.
