Files[edit]

Hello, Unnamed anon. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file into a subject category. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups:

Images Audio/video files

When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the {{aboutfile}} template, replacing the {{uncategorized}} template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, images related to the game Super Mario World would use:

[[Category:Super Mario World images]]
or one it its subcategories. Media files would use:
[[Category:Super Mario World media files]]

Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

Hello, Unnamed anon. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly use the {{aboutfile}} template. What you were doing looks like this, and it is an inconvenience for other users to fix up the template. It is simple to learn how to format it correctly. The pre-loaded syntax is shown below.

{{aboutfile
|1=Subject of the image
|2=Where you found the image
|3=Artist
|4=Describe edits, if any
|5=Other versions (use file link)
}}

Just replace the necessary parts with that corresponding information, and remove the entire line for the parameter(s) you don't use. A description of the image subject (parameter 1) should always be included, even if it's just a few words. Please consider the above information before uploading more files. If you continue using {{aboutfile}} incorrectly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

Consecutive edits[edit]

Please try to avoid making too many consecutive edits to a page in a short timespan since this can flood the recent changes and the article's history page. I've noticed you're constantly adding and removing tracks to Route; in this case, you should draft out your edits in one or fewer larger edits and take the time to fact-check them instead of publishing every change you make.

Also, the official term for the mode is "VS Race", not "Vs. Mode". Zero Suit Samus costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 01:41, June 7, 2025 (EDT)

Understood. Apologies for the inconvenience. I think the edits to the possible routes section are 90% complete now, but thank you for informing me about consecutive edits. Unnamed anon (talk) 02:43, June 7, 2025 (EDT)

Dash Food[edit]

Hey, great work on documenting Mario Kart World! I'm just not sure if you're going about costumes on the Dash Food article the right way. I think it makes more sense to just figure out and list which foods give which outfit, not a vague and confusing course-by-course thing. And then maybe after we can note which locations give which foods (though maybe that would be better for Yoshi's?) Technetium (talk) 17:53, June 9, 2025 (EDT)

I created a sandbox page to help with Dash Food article planning: User:Technetium/Dash Food Coma Technetium (talk) 18:25, June 9, 2025 (EDT)
Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately since my account is not yet autoconfirmed due to being less than 10 days old, I'm not able to edit sandbox pages yet. I was planning on making a chart on which courses give which foods and which foods give which costumes, similar to the chart I made for route. But whenever I tried to make a wikitable with images the table would break. Unnamed anon (talk) 18:38, June 9, 2025 (EDT)

Since I can't edit sandboxes or create my own userpage, I'll put the chart I made on my own talk page so it can indirectly give you some information for your own sandbox. It has legitimately helped me figure out which courses give which characters costumes, though I understand it's obviously too incomplete for being on the regular Dash Food page right now. For example, Sky High Sundae only gives Yoshi and Toadette costumes, and both have ice cream costumes called "soft server". Likewise, Wario Shipyard only gives Wario and King Boo costumes, and both have pirate outfits. Unnamed anon (talk) 18:47, June 9, 2025 (EDT)

Crown City, DK Spaceport, Shy Guy Bazaar, Wario Stadium, DS DK Pass, Dino Dino Jungle, Great ? Block Ruins, Dandelion Depths, Choco Mountain, and Rainbow Road do not have Dash Food that guarantees costumes.

Thanks! I do recall characters eating ice cream and getting costumes still, though. Many foods just do repeats, hence the need to list every food and what costumes it gives. Technetium (talk) 18:53, June 9, 2025 (EDT)

Route map[edit]

Hello, I noticed in your (amazing and super helpful) world map of all the routes in Mario Kart World, you forgot to include the layout of Peach Beach lap 1. I'm aware it isn't used in any of the routes, but it does feel like a strange omission. Also, it is difficult to see the water routes due to their light blue colour blending in with the background. Anyway, keep up the great work! Jcharlesk (talk) 18:35, July 4, 2025 (EDT)

I actually didn't make the route map, I found it online, but I believe it is an extremely helpful resource regardless. The person who made the map mentioned that the actual courses were not complete, and that his main priority was documenting all of the roads. Unnamed anon (talk) 18:57, July 4, 2025 (EDT)
