Wahahaha! Hello there, 'Shroom readers, and welcome to our extravagantly evil villain-themed summer special issue! I got myself an even twirlier mustache than usual and I'm ready for some good clean badness. Hopefully all of you are too, because a lot of people put a lot of cool things into this issue! Like all of these sleek graphics by Ninja Squid (talk), or the amazing main page banner by BBQ Turtle (talk)! And check out these villain costumes RHG1951 (talk) and TPG (talk) made for us! (I handled my own tailoring though, what do you think?) Don't even get me started on all the sections - gotta keep these notes at a reasonable length, but I'm sure Sparks will have some info on that for you!

I will, however, point you towards our special features! The 'Shroom staff have collaborated on a villain-themed Classifieds section! You just might recognize the bad guys who submitted something. (Here's a hint: You might need to be a seasoned 'Shroom reader to catch some of them.) Also, Aomaf (talk) managed to get his hands on a Nintendo Switch 2 and shows us what's inside in My Switch 2 Unboxing! (That's actually just the title of the section, I don't have a Switch 2...)

Also... The Community Awards are here! Be sure to check out the Community Awards Dossier to vote and get information on all the nominees. Voting closes June 28th alongside the Mario and Fail Awards (be sure to vote in those as well!). Don't forget that you can choose up to four nominees at once, so don't be afraid to spread the love for our cool folks around here and their creations! Speaking of that, be sure to check out presentation sign-ups for the ceremony. At the time of writing, there's not much left, but see if any of them strike you and/or consider signing up as a backup presenter!

Oh, maybe I should let go of this before- *KABOOM* Whoops. Great, now I need a shower to clean all this soot off my face. Oh well, occupational hazard. Enjoy the issue!

Let's see here... got my cloak on - - Oh! Uh... Hello. With you being here, our plan was successful at getting the attention of the viewers. Soon The 'Shroom will grow to take over everything...

Or at least that's something Master Zokket would say. Hi there! WELCOME TO THE VILLAINS SPECIAL ISSUE!! To mark this once-in-a-lifetime occasion, I've dressed up as yours truly, complete with his awesome attire and wire cutters! Just make sure not to run while holding them, kids! You may have also noticed Twilight Sparkle isn't here. In her place is the dastardly lord of the Changelings, Queen Chrysalis! Well, "former lord" would be the better words here... Changelings are bug-based, and I've been playing Bug Fables recently, so this fits really well! It's a very fun game by the way; I highly recommend it for fans of the first two Paper Mario games! Getting back on track now, many thanks to RHG1951 for the amazing makeover!

OH MY GOSH everyone! We have so, so many guest sections this Issue! Fake News in particular has a lot, too many to name here unfortunately - it'd take up my entire section for Staff Notes! I'll go over the remaining five features in great detail:

• We have one guest section for Fun Stuff, from Boo1268 - Criminal Case Files! Can you figure out which villains committed which crimes? Solve the cases to the best of your ability!
• In Palette Swap, we've got two Community Art sections that show the nefarious creations of Waluigi Time and Boo1268! Uh, I'm not referring to the quality of the art itself; they look amazing! ClawgripFan9001 also continues his Waluigi tribute in Die WAH With a Vengeance, where the man in purple starts an adventure in the Waffle Kingdom, battling against Minister Crêpe! Additionally, I bring back the Triple A Gang in The Triple A Gang Rob the Mushroom Kingdom Bank! Wanna read about a trio of minions doing a heist? That's not all, because we have a collaborative section titled Too Bad, Storytime! featuring many community characters in a goofy story!
• Pipe Plaza has two guest sections! One's by Waluigi Time, where he talks about the history of Darth Vader LEGO figurines throughout the years in a section titled LEGO Look! The other one is by me, where I educate you on another pony: Cozy Glow! Both sections are themed around villains to match the special!
• Critic Corner has guest sections too, because Waluigi Time ranked every single chapter boss of Paper Mario in Paper Mario Boss Ranking! What does he have to say about each boss? There's also a movie review I wrote about a very unpopular movie from last year. Just what is this movie you may ask? Why spoil the surprise? We also have a returning section from Ninelevendo (talk) - Super Ninelevendo Entertainment Reviews! He takes a look at and reviews the brand new Nintendo Switch 2 and what it has to offer!
• And finally we have Strategy Wing! Waluigi Time and Shoey (talk) inform you all about specific Mario characters in Rising From Obscurity and Fading Into Obscurity respectively! Just how did Boom Boom come back after a period of inactivity and what happened to Captain Syrup from the Wario Land series? Check out those sections yourself to find out! I also wrote a Kingdom Rush section known as Teslas vs. an Evil Wizard, where I provide a guide on how to beat The Dark Tower with only Tesla x104s on the hardest difficulty!

Drat. By talking about all of these cool sections, my time efficiency dropped by 0.003%. Just kidding! I'm not really Zokket. Go check 'em all out now! Indulge yourself in these sinister 'Shroom sections written by our wicked writers. Heh heh heh!
