Goal Gates are objects that appear in Yoshi's Fruit Cart minigame in Nintendo Land. When the Yoshi Cart eats all the fruit in a Gate (level), a Goal Gate opens. If no fruits are present in a Gate, it will open at the start. The Yoshi Cart then needs to touch the Goal Gate to finish the level. The Yoshi Cart will appear on the open Goal Gate's platform, named Start,[1] in the next level. A special red Goal Gate will appear at the end of level 20 if the player has not beaten that level yet. On subsequent playthroughs, the red gate only appears at the end of level 50.
Some Gates also have a special type of Goal Gate, a Warp gate, which allows the player to skip levels.
A Goal Gate also appears as an unlockable prize at the Nintendo Land Plaza.
