A Mega Cheep-Cheep in New Super Mario Bros..

In New Super Mario Bros., they will not target Mario or Luigi, but instead will follow a path oblivious to them, just like normal Cheep Cheeps. Mega Cheep-Cheeps are colored orange and are similar to Boss Basses. Each one is usually followed by about three Cheep-Cheeps. In New Super Mario Bros. Wii, their size has been reduced so they appear to just be slightly bigger. However, in New Super Mario Bros. 2, they regain their original size, but in New Super Mario Bros. U its size is reduced again.

Mario Party series

Mario Party 8

Mega Cheep-Cheeps also make a minor appearance in Mario Party 8. In the minigame Rowed to Victory, the losing team of boaters will be chased by a Mega Cheep-Cheep and a few Cheep-Cheeps.

Mario Party DS

A Mega Cheep-Cheep also appeared in the game Mario Party DS in the minigame Cheep Chump. It will try to suck in the player by creating a whirlpool. It also makes the largest whirlpool, making it harder to avoid.

Paper Mario: Sticker Star

A Mega Cheep-Cheep appears as mini-boss in Paper Mario: Sticker Star, this time being called a Big Cheep-Cheep. It is encountered in Surfshine Harbor after Mario sets sail. The Big Cheep-Cheep will continue to block Mario's access to Worlds 4, 5, and 6 as long as it remains undefeated. Comments made by various characters implied that this particular Cheep-Cheep was a very rare sight especially given its size.

In battle, the Big Cheep-Cheep will be beached on the pier. All it can do during this time is just slamming into Mario. After the Big Cheep-Cheep takes enough damage, it will hop into the water and regain all its HP. From the ocean, the Big Cheep-Cheep will be able to spray a powerful jet of water and will avoid every attack Mario tries to perform on it. The only way to be able to attack the Cheep-Cheep is by using the Fishhook sticker on it. This will beach the mini-boss once again and it will fly into a rage. The Cheep-Cheep will only be able to slam into Mario after it gets fished out of the water. Each turn, the Big Cheep-Cheep will grow in size increasing its attack. Once it has been defeated, Mario can safely access the final three worlds.

Alternatively, using sharp stickers like Spike Helmet or Thumbtack when the Big Cheep-Cheep attacks during the second phase will instantly defeat it. However, it will also damage Mario for 50 HP. In the PAL version of the game, this damage is reduced to 30.
