World 7-1 is the first level of World 7 in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. It features different colored spinning blocks which move at different speeds. Also, colorful moving pipes are scattered around, along with a lot of Piranha Plants.

Layout[edit]

The level begins in an area with platforms leading up to a Warp Pipe. The Warp Pipe leads into an area in the sky, where a ? Block containing a coin is found above colorful moving platforms. Two Koopa Troopas are found on a yellow platform, along with a ? Block contains a power-up. A Piranha Plant is found on a red platform, followed by some platforms made from Warp Pipes. Some more Piranha Plants are also found. After the pipes, thin moving platforms are found, followed by some spinning platforms. Some Piranha Plants are encountered, followed by another Warp Pipe platform and the midway point. More moving platforms and Warp Pipes are found, along with some more Koopa Troopas and Piranha Plants. After some moving platforms at the end of the area, a Warp Pipe is found, leading the player to the next area. There are several tall platforms, along with the pole.

Star Coins[edit]

  • Star Coin 1: Not too far before the midway point is an upside-down red Warp Pipe with a Piranha Plant and the first Star Coin to its high left. To get it, Mario and co. must wall kick off the pipe.
  • Star Coin 2: Directly after the midway point is a yellow Warp Pipe between two red ones; this Pipe leads to a hidden area with several spinning blocks, and the second Star Coin is all the way to the right. Mario and co. can get it either by jumping to it from the right-most green spinning block, or with a Propeller Mushroom.
  • Star Coin 3: The third Star Coin is high up and near the exit Pipe at the end of the level. Mario and co. must either use a Propeller Mushroom, or get on the right-most purple spinning block, wait for it to go all the way up to the left, then jump to the Star Coin from it.
