Steal the Beat is a 1-vs.-2 or 3 minigame appearing in Mario Party 10. Its name is a pun on the phrase "feel the beat."

GameplayEdit

The players are in a stageroom, with drums in front of them. The solo player must make up a beat the rivals must correctly mimic. Any incorrect or missing beat counts as a mistake for the rivals. The minigame has up to three rounds. If the combined number of mistakes each rival makes is seven in the 1-vs.-2 version or ten in the 1-vs.-3 version, the solo player wins; otherwise, the rivals win.

Before the solo player creates a beat, one of three jingles, chosen at random, can be heard: the "Ground BGM" from Super Mario Bros., the "Athletic BGM" from Super Mario World, and the "Main Theme" from New Super Mario Bros.
Notably, if the solo player loses, instead of them hanging their head as the rivals do when they lose the minigame, a unique animation plays, in which the solo player shrugs before looking at the screen with a sad look on their face. This is the only minigame with this distinction.
Toad, Toadette, and Spike stand on stools during this minigame due to their height. They also stand on stools in Balloon Blast Bash.
