Hop Till You Drop is a General minigame in Mario Party: Island Tour. The background music here is a remix of part of the athletic theme from Super Mario Bros. 3.

Overview[edit]

In the preview, a blue Toad jumps from one platform to another, but falls off trying to get to the third one.

This is a platforming minigame. Competitors must jump on several platforms that run on a conveyor belt, trying not to go off-screen or fall into a gap. There are also some platforms with spinning rolls that push the characters backward. The players' ranking is determined by who steps on the final platform first or who lasts the longest.

  • Rules – British: "Jump across the platforms and head to the goal. If you fall from a platform, you lose."

  • Rules – 「移動する足場を進み、ゴールを目指しましょう。足場から落ちてしまうとリタイアとなってしまいます。」 ("Idō suru ashiba o susumi, gōru o mezashimashō. Ashiba kara ochite shimau to ritaia tonatte shimaimasu.") ("Follow the moving scaffolding and aim for the goal. If you fall from the scaffolding, you will be forced to retire.")

Naming[edit]

The name of the minigame is a pun on the expression, "shop until you drop".
