Helter Shellter is a general minigame in Mario Party: Island Tour. Its name is a pun on the phrase "Helter Skelter," meaning "in disarray."

Introduction[edit]

A blue and purple Toad are seen picking up shells. The blue Toad's shell contains some pearls, while the purple Toad's contains seaweed.

Gameplay[edit]

This minigame has four rounds, each lasting ten seconds. The players select shells and try to collect the most pearls. The shells shake sometimes and contain four types of items: 1-3 pearls and seaweed. Picking up the shell with pearls in it gives 1, 2 or 3 points depending on how many pearls were inside. Picking up the shell with a seaweed in it gives no points. After four rounds, the player with the most points wins.
