Emergency Hexit (Chain Challenge in Europe and Australia) is a puzzle minigame in Mario Party: Island Tour. The North American name is a portmanteau of "hex" and "emergency exit".

Gameplay[edit]

The player has to slide hexagons with characters' emblems on them before a timer runs out. If seven of the same hexagon type are touching, they will be cleared with points rewarded as well as the remaining time increasing. Also, there are hexagons with Green Shells that appear. If the character that the player chose is next to one, they will kick it across the hexagons, knocking them out. There are Poison Mushrooms that make the timer run out faster as well. They can be removed by clearing hexagons next to them or by using a shell. Finally, ? tiles are exclusive to multiplayer mode, and they can send a poison mushroom to the opposing player.

Controls[edit]

  • Stylus – Slide the panels diagonally or from side to side.
