World 6-2 is the second level of World 6 in Super Mario Bros. and the twenty-second level overall in said game.

Layout[edit]

World 6-2 consists of a multitude of Warp Pipes, most of which contain Piranha Plants. The first pipe leads to an underground area with coins, which leads out to the third pipe afterward. After the first pipe is a Coin Block in the Brick Block row above, and the player needs to find a Hidden Block below to reach it. Between the pipes with a Buzzy Beetle are two Brick Blocks with a power-up within the one on the right. The Warp Pipe immediately after this row of Brick Blocks leads to an underwater segment with Bloobers, Cheep-cheeps, and downward moving lifts, with the pipe at the end leading back up to an area with Brick Blocks and a floating pipe. If the player does not go down the pipe to the underwater segment, they can find a beanstalk to Coin Heaven in the far right Brick Block of the second row of Brick Blocks above, which at the end drops the player near the end of the level. After the pipe the player can come up from the underwater area and across the large gap, the player can find a Starman in the top-left-most Brick Block. The Warp Pipe between the two stone structures leads to another underground area with coins and a power-up. After the last remaining pipes is the flagpole.

Super Mario Bros. Deluxe challenges[edit]

In Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, the player can collect five Red Coins, find a hidden Yoshi Egg, and get a medal based on their score. The Yoshi Egg is found in the right-most Brick Block in the row before the row with the beanstalk, and the score to beat is 30000. The Red Coin locations are:

  • In the first underground area
  • Between the two rows of Brick Block with the Yoshi Egg and the beanstalk
  • In the Brick Block above the pipe the player would exit from if they took the underwater route
  • In the middle block of the bottom-right row of Brick Blocks from the Starman
  • Where the power-up would be in the second underground area
