Template:Character-infobox Metto Oyakata (メット親方, Chief Buzzy Beetle) is an original character that appears in the Super Mario World adaptation in Super Mario-kun. He's responsible for the creation of the obstacle course in the underground sections and in the castles.

He's a big bipedal Buzzy Beetle with a giant grin surrounded with a black beard (almost resembling Foreman Spike). He also wears a construction helmet with a skull picture on it.

In chapter 3 volume 3, to avoid the scorching sun on the surface, Mario, Luigi and Yoshi passes in an underground, where a construction site is present. Jumping over the site's fence, the trio gets yelled at by the foreman, Metto Oyakata. Metto Oyakata tells them to scram, since an obstacle course for Mario is being placed, noticing too late that Mario was in the group. Metto Oyakata and his Buzzy Beetles worker, activates the already set trap, but the trio avoids them, but then falls into the wet cement. With only their head popping out from the ground, Metto Oyakata calls some Swoopers to suck the trio's energies and abilities to them have those for himself, gaining Mario's nose, moustache and cape and Yoshi's hunger for turtles (eating his own worker). Out from the cement trap, Mario reach for a 3-Up Moon and becomes 3UP Mario. With a fire kick, Mario sends Metto Oyakata flying and engulfed in flames towards the powder magazine, blowing up the entire underground.

In chapter 7 volume 5, when the trio enters for the second time in Bowser's Castle, they discover that Metto Oyakata renowned the place, so neither their knowledge of the place from the previous experience nor the guidebook's information, will help them. Metto Oyakata laughs at them, so Mario jumps at him to punch him, but a moving wall saves the foreman, making Mario crashing on it. Metto Oyakata laughs again, but another wall moves and hits him on the head.
