RE: MKDD high quality PNG screenshots[edit]

List of Mario Kart: Double Dash!! pre-release and unused content - You mean your images exceed 10MB, once you convert them to PNG? Try PNG Monstrous. If you don't use Windows, try the Mac section alternative. Linux, your best bet right now is to find the optimizers listed on my page compiled to run for Linux. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 16:57, 13 July 2017 (EDT)

Looks like you should be OK to use PNG Monstrous because PNGGauntlet is a Windows application. I wonder if PNGGauntlet is telling pngout to use the highest compression settings (more CPU load to find the smallest file size possible). This might be one of those instances where uploading a high quality JPEG will be the best option. I don't see Porplemontage (talk) increasing the upload size limit any time soon. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 17:32, 13 July 2017 (EDT)

Image Categories[edit]

Hello, Pasta937. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups:

Images Audio/video files

When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the {{aboutfile}} template, replacing the {{uncategorized}} template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, files related to the game Super Mario World would use:

[[Category:Super Mario World images]]
or
[[Category:Super Mario World media files]]

Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

A few of your recent uploads were missing Category:Mario Kart: Double Dash!! Images. --A sprite of a Flame Chomp from New Super Mario Bros. Wii.TheFlameChomp (talk) 16:57, 14 July 2017 (EDT)

Interfile Periods[edit]

Thanks for all the MSB images! Never thought I'd see those rolls around. One thing though is to make sure you don't use a period inside of a file name, besides the extension. It's not always great for the coding, and it's not a crazy file man thing, the the policy hints at it too. Trig - 17:22, October 3, 2019 (EDT)

No problem. The team names took me a while to get them extracted. --Pasta937 (talk) 21:06, October 3, 2019 (EDT)

Discord Account; was trying to reach you there (Regarding recent screenshots)[edit]

Hey Pasta937, was trying to contact and FR you because I saw a few weeks back that you visited this wiki's server on the Discord, but then left. Wanted to ask you about the screenshots that you've been taking to add on this site, but I don't want to disclose the details here because this is still "public record"; please get back to me on the Discord so we can discuss the matters further. Thanks much in advance. --M. C. - Profile | Talk Page 08:27, October 11, 2019 (EDT)

Quick Question[edit]

Would you happen to own and have a method for capturing images for Mario Party 8, Super Mario Strikers, or Mario Strikers Charged? Trig - 17:06, October 12, 2019 (EDT)

I was planning for Strikers so yes. --Pasta937 (talk) 00:59, October 13, 2019 (EDT)

Goomboss Model[edit]

In Mario Kart DS, Goomboss's face turns more red as he gets angrier. His model appeared white because that is the default coloration of his face; color effects are added to make it appear brown or red. I could be wrong, but I think images of data-rendered models here are supposed to show the default state of the model. --DeepFriedCabbage 15:43, November 21, 2019 (EST)

I did try to mess around the model to load his animations but no luck. --Pasta937 (talk) 16:26, November 21, 2019 (EST)

"Less Glitchy"[edit]

I greatly appreciate your NES palette fixes. However, I am confused by your statement on the SMW Para-Goomba sprite. What do you mean? Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 19:55, December 7, 2019 (EST)

Some browsers like Edge won't play GIFs right after the first repeat, the first frame overlaps the last frame. I fix the file using GIMP.--Pasta937 (talk) 20:32, December 7, 2019 (EST)
But why did you make it slower? Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 21:10, December 7, 2019 (EST)
I didn't change the speed settings of it.--Pasta937 (talk) 22:49, December 7, 2019 (EST)
The .gif itself is playing slower than the previous revision. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 00:03, December 8, 2019 (EST)
https://web.archive.org/web/20190708082143/https://www.mariowiki.com/File:Para-Goomba.gif If you can both compare with the frames and time, then it's the same speed unless your browser loaded it late but I don't know it looks fine to me.--Pasta937 (talk) 00:40, December 8, 2019 (EST)
Huh, strange, it was animating really slowly for me at first. Thanks for clearing that up. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 01:07, December 8, 2019 (EST)

Reguarding the Green Space texture[edit]

Where did you find that texture, and how? I would prefer just the actual space, but it seems you got the actual texture. How? --Partier (talk) 08:21, October 15, 2021 (EDT)

The green space is only used in Card Party, there's no transparent version of it. https://www.textures-resource.com/gamecube/marioparty5/texture/12318/ --Pasta937 (talk) 11:40, October 15, 2021 (EDT)

Top-Down View Picture of Mushroom City from MK:DD[edit]

Hi, did you get out of bound from the circuit to take it the picture of Mushroom City from MK:DD? I'm currently searching for someone to pay for being able to doing that for another game.

Ouimet (talk) 13:23, April 24, 2022 (ET)

If you're referring to this image, that's the official render taken from Nintendo themselves.
