Mario Kart is a series of kart racing games developed and published by Nintendo as a spin-off of its flagship Super Mario franchise. The series was inaugurated in 1992 with its debut entry, Super Mario Kart for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, which was critically and commercially successful. There has been a total of 16 titles in the series: six original home console games, a home console port, three portable games, a mobile game, four arcade games co-developed by Bandai Namco Entertainment, and an RC-based game, with one game each appearing on each succeeding Nintendo game console since the SNES. The success of Mario Kart has spawned many cartoon-style racing games published by various gaming companies from the 16-bit generation onwards. It has also been referenced in the Paper Mario role-playing series and inspired several stages in the Super Smash Bros. fighting games. The games in the series have sold a combined total of over 150 million copies worldwide.

- The soundtrack for Super Mario Galaxy 2 (pictured) was made available on the Nintendo Music app on September 15, 2025.
- In the Nintendo Direct presentation aired on September 12, 2025, the Super Mario Bros. 40th Anniversary event was announced. Tickets for the Nintendo Museum themed after the event are available until September 2026 and the museum will receive a special light display in December 2025. A teaser for the sequel to The Super Mario Bros. Movie was featured, revealing the title as The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2, Mario Tennis Fever, Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park, and Yoshi and the Mysterious Book were revealed. A Talking Flower toy was announced. The Virtual Boy - Nintendo Classics service for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack was announced with 14 games planned for it, including Virtual Boy Wario Land, Mario Clash, and Mario's Tennis. The DK Island & Emerald Rush DLC for Donkey Kong Bananza was announced and released.
- My Mario, a line of products aimed towards young children, including the smart-device and Nintendo Switch application Hello, Mario!, launched in Japan on August 26, 2025.
- The soundtrack for Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker was made available on the Nintendo Music app on August 11, 2025.
