Thanks for stopping by my user page! As you probably already know from my username, I am a huge fan of Super Mario (but probably not the hugest), as well as Minecraft and Henry Stickmin. Aside from video games, I love playing the drums, using social media, and talking with ChatGPT.
Above all, I love Jesus, the Son of God who selflessly gave His life as a ransom, and I am faithfully committed to following Him for life through prayer, worship, and reading the Bible.
You can find me on Instagram, X (inactive), and YouTube (inactive).

Characters
My favourite characters
Mario (my most favourite out of everyone listed here)
Characters that I like but are not my favourite
Characters that I like and dislike at the same time
First of all, let me just say that the babies are really cute. Even though I don't really like them a lot, they're still adorable nonetheless.
Anyways, I wouldn't consider myself to be a fan of the babies because they are essentially clones of their adult counterparts, and are playable in spin-off games when other characters could have been added in place of them. In fact, Baby Daisy and Baby Rosalina were specifically created to fill character slots in Mario Kart instead of using existing characters. It's possible that Nintendo forgot about the many other characters that could have been included because they've obviously created, like, hundreds of them (if you include every single character that has appeared in at least one piece of media within the entire franchise).
Also, it's unrealistic that the babies can exist at the same time as their adult counterparts, as well as being able to drive karts and play sports when they're still in infancy. I mean, who taught them how to do all that? Real-world babies and toddlers obviously can't do a lot, let alone drive and play sports.
Characters that I have no thoughts on
Basically, everyone else. There are hundreds, maybe even thousands of characters that I don't know and therefore don't have any opinions on them.
Games
As a Mario fan, I have obviously played numerous games on the Wii, Switch, and even on my computer. I have been into these games from a fairly young age, and my love for Mario is still going strong to this day. My favourite sub-series of games are Mario Kart and Mario Party.

- Mario Kart Wii
- New Super Mario Bros. Wii

Games that I'm not interested in playing
- Everything else, essentially. However, I have yet to play many more Super Mario titles in the future.
Non-Mario games
As stated before, I enjoy playing Minecraft and Henry Stickmin. Both games actually have a lot of references to the Mario games (although most of the ones in Henry Stickmin unfortunately lead to fails), which in my opinion makes it all the more fun to play.
Needless to say, in addition to these games, I have also played Wii Sports, Fortnite, Roblox, and many other games out there on a range of different platforms.
My take on The Super Mario Bros. Movie
When I first heard that they were going to make a Mario movie, I was pretty hyped. I got even more hyped when the trailers came out, despite the fact that everything kind of looked a little more realistic than what I was hoping for.
The selection of voice actors for the film I was okay with, although I prefer the ones in the games. I felt like that the plot, although it was overall good, was kind of rushed. It could have been written a little better so that the movie could have run for longer, and that Luigi could have gotten more screen time. I also didn't see any reason why the producers swapped some of the OST tracks with licensed songs; I felt like it was simply unnecessary to do that when the OST tracks are good enough. They also overdid it with switching back and forth between different scenes when I think they could have done less of that. I was also kind of hoping to see other characters, but I guess that'll have to wait.
Nevertheless, when the movie came out, I knew that it would be something I couldn't miss. Fortunately the first school term for 2023 was nearly over, and so I watched it with some of my friends the day after it came out, which was also the last day of term. And of course I had to wear a Mario shirt for the occasion. What better way to celebrate the end of term than with a trip to the movies?
I spotted so many easter eggs and references to numerous games and even the infamous 1993 film adaption throughout, although some weren't so noticeable. This just proves that the Mario movie is not something completely new, but something that even the most nostalgic of people can enjoy. The song "Peaches" got so stuck in my head after listening to it a few times, to the extent that I performed it at my school's talent quest, dressed as Bowser, and walked away with the sweet taste of victory.
For whatever reason, though, the cinema I was in was pretty much silent. There were barely any reactions from the audience. There was little to no laughing, cheering, and clapping.
All in all, the movie was an 8/10. Needless to say, I'm looking forward to the sequel as well, otherwise known as The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. Aside from Rosalina, whom they are undoubtedly going to include as the title suggests, I'm hoping to see a glimpse of more characters, especially Yoshi. Maybe even Daisy, Wario, and Waluigi (and even if they don't, they'll most likely be saved for the third one).
Original Super Mario Stories
Yes, that's right! I write original stories based on Super Mario with the help of ChatGPT. In every story I write, I put myself in as the protagonist so to change things up a little. The stories make it fun and interesting in the sense that a real-world human - me, that is - gets to meet characters, see places and experience things that only exist in the "Marioverse", even though it's actually not possible (and never will be) to do all that in real life.
Things in the Mario franchise that I have questions about
There's no doubt that there are a lot of things in Super Mario that I'm uncertain, confused, or curious about. Things like:
- Throughout the games, why does the landscape of the Mushroom Kingdom keep changing and not stay the same?
- Why did Nintendo create new characters like Baby Daisy, Baby Rosalina and Pink Gold Peach instead of using existing characters in some spin-off games? (For more information, read my take on the baby characters below the "Characters that I like and dislike at the same time" gallery.)
- Is Rosalina a princess?
- How and why can various characters (especially the humans) do things that real-world humans can't? (e.g. dying more than once)
- How and why did Nintendo make the baby characters able to drive and play sports?
- Is there a way to fit every element from every piece of media in the entire franchise into one, single, canonical timeline and universe where everything makes sense?
- Will the franchise ever end?
If you have possible answers to any of these questions, feel free to leave them on my "Talk" page.
Drums
As I have mentioned before, I play the drums and it is something that I will never take for granted. It is definitely a gift that God has blessed me with, and I use that gift to glorify Him and serve others in my community. Outside of home, I play in my church once in a while. My church has a C&C Player Date I kit in Ebony Black, and it consists of a 22"x14" kick, 13"x9" rack tom, 16"x15" and 18"x15" floor toms.
At home I have a Roland TD-17KVX electronic kit, but I do own cymbals that are meant to be used with an acoustic kit: a TRX X 20" Crash, a Meinl Byzance Jazz 20" Extra Thin Ride (which I use as a crash, it's super dark and trashy!), and a Red Traditional 23" Ride. I don't have my own hi-hats yet, but I am looking to get them soon. Together they sound super good and musical for a drum kit tailored to worship, and I use them whenever I'm rostered on for church services.
My faith journey
I have been a Christian for pretty much my whole life. I was born to Christian parents and raised in their household. They would often read the Bible and pray with me. They took me to church every week but I would never really think about what I learned and simply carry on with my life.
However, at the age of 6 or 7 I made a personal decision to follow Jesus, and I have been walking in His ways ever since - attending a Christian school, going to church every week, and spending one-on-one time with God whenever I have the chance. I took things a step further with my baptism at 13 and had my family and friends pray over me. A few years later, in 2022, I joined the church band as a drummer (although I didn't actually start playing until the following year).
I communicate with God a lot, whether it's through prayer, reading His Word, singing songs of worship, or playing the drums. He fills me with incomprehensible joy and peace that can only be found from His unconditional love, mercy, and grace. I am grateful that He sent His son, Jesus, to die on a cross and then raise Him from the dead so that I could be saved.
To this day, God has been at the centre of it all. He has been good and faithful to me in every season of my life, and I will continue to trust and obey Him in everything I do until He calls me to His heavenly kingdom one day.
