Tightrope Treachery (stylized as TightRope Treachery) is a 1-vs-3 player minigame in Mario Party. It was later remade into Rainbow Run in Mario Party 2.

Gameplay[edit]

The solo player walks on the tightrope, while the three players have to use cannon boats to shoot the other player down. The player can lose balance not only from cannonballs, but also from strong winds. If the three players manage to make the player fall down from the tightrope or make the time run out, they win and steal 5 coins each from the solo player. If the other player walks to the goal line, they win and steal 5 coins from each of the three players.

Ending[edit]

  • If the solo player wins, that player does a winning animation while the other three do losing animations.
  • If the team of three wins, the other three do winning animations, but the Miss music plays.
  1. If the solo player fell off, a Dolphin carries them away and the announcer says "MISS!".
  2. If time ran out, the solo player does a losing animation while the announcer says "TIME UP".
  • In Mini-Game Island, regardless of whether the player cleared it or not, the announcer will always say "FINISH".
