This isn't an "island" and shouldn't have the level infobox.[edit]

"What is Salmancer on about today!? Of course it's an its an island, "Isle" is right in the name!" Well, I don't care if Lucky Isle is or isn't a landmass. I care about if it is or isn't one of the major explorable locations in Bowser's Fury, which are defined as islands. Lucky Isle fails nearly every clause that all twelve other islands meet.

  • All 12 of the real islands can be warped to. Lucky Isle cannot be warped to.
  • All 12 of the real islands have a Lighthouse (Bowser's Fury). Lucky Isle does not.
  • All 12 of the real islands have a cat head themed arch, which is the destination for warping Lucky Isle does not.
  • All 12 of the real islands have the missions "Five Cat Shine Shards" and "Blast the Fury Blocks". Lucky Isle does not.
  • Never mind that, all 12 of the real islands have missions at all. Lucky Isle does not. Which you can tell because on any island with missions the icons for collected Cat Shines appear in the upper left corner of the screen. This doesn't occur for Lucky Isle.
  • Going to any of the 12 real islands makes its name appear on the screen in splash text. Lucky Isle's name does not appear in this way.
  • All 12 of the real islands have substantial platforming content in one way or another with at least one kind of hazard. Lucky Isle has no platforming content of its own. Any navigation related to Lucky Isle is entirely based on reaching it, and there are no hazards on Lucky Isle.

Just about the only clause Lucky Isle does meet is that it has five Cat Shines on it, like all 12 of the real islands. But even then, those five Cat Shines are all located at different points on the map, which isn't true of all 12 real islands.

Suffice to say, I don't think Lucky Isle is a real island. The game's mechanics and UI just don't treat it as an island. Lucky Isle isn't an island and it isn't a Giga Bell. It is a Separate Third ThingTM. Because of that, it should not be displayed on this wiki equivalently to a real island. Which we are doing, because this article has a Template:level infobox just like the 12 real islands and because Bowser's Fury#Locations has a table which puts Lucky Isle in the same column as all the other islands. Those 12 islands and Lucky Isle not subjects of the same type we shouldn't imply that they are. To resolve this, I would like to do three things.

  1. Replace this article's Template:Level infobox with Template:Location infobox.
  2. Do not link to this article from Mount Magmeow's level infobox.
  3. On the Bowser's Fury article, put Lucky Isle in a dedicated subsection of Bowser's Fury#Locations, entirely separate from the 12 real islands.

Support: Lucky Isle loses level infobox and is not treated the same as the game's true islands[edit]

  1. Salmancer (talk) It's not even in the water! How could it possibly be an island? Per proposal.
  2. EvieMaybe (talk) i can agree with this
  3. Altendo Isle (talk) Per.
  4. Pizza Master (talk) Given how small it is, it's not really a level. It'd be like calling the lighthouses levels since they can give you Cat Shines (iirc). Also per salmancer.

Oppose: Lucky Isle retains level infobox, and no changes occur to wiki organization[edit]

  1. Lucky Wandering Poplin (talk) Isn't the whole reason you can't warp there or anything like that supposed to be because it's a secret level? If we choose to remove it, we should also remove the level tags from the Coin Express and Bonus: Coins Galore!, which I don't believe would be a good idea either.

Comments (Demote Lucky Isle from island to... dwarf island?)[edit]

The Coin Express is at least selectable from the world map, which is loosely equivalent to "can be warped to". The menu organization supports Coin Express as a "very weird kind of level" If Lucky Isle could be interpreted a secret level, one would figure that once the player completes Lucky Isle they would gain the ability to warp to it. They don't. Salmancer (talk) 20:41, December 27, 2025 (EST)
