Merge?[edit]

I'm just curious, why isn't this merged with Beehive? Somethingone (talk) 08:54, February 17, 2022 (EST)

It has enough differences to justify having its own page, including being its own level. Spectrogram (talk) 08:59, February 17, 2022 (EST)
I concur. It is literally a level, so it must be detailed enough to have it’s own article. Red Oho Jee from Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions. OhoJeeOnFire (talk)
A majority of these are simply bumpers that release bees, though, and beehives have been enterable in other games as well. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 22:18, July 5, 2024 (EDT)

Merge to Beehive[edit]

Brown Block This talk page proposal has already been settled. Please do not edit this section or its subsections. If you wish to discuss the article, please do so in a new section below the proposal.

merge pages 6-0
This is fairly self-explanatory. We already have a page for general Beehives, and yet these are split because... a sub-area in a stage takes place in one. But the information for that sub-area isn't actually the focus of the page, it's over on the main area's page, and the sub-area is just mentioned in prose.

We doubt anyone would suggest fully splitting off the sub-area in question and moving its information here, since as it stands, the only sub-areas that get mentioned in the navbox (though, not all of which link anywhere, and none of which link to their own bespoke pages for their Mario Pinball Land appearance...?) are for boss fights; there is no boss fight in the beehive, but we've given an option just in case? We're a bit doubtful, though. There is, obviously, also status quo option for this current halfway-point.

Merge to Beehive (let's keep beekeeping!)[edit]

  1. Camwoodstock (talk) Per ourselves. We don't see the reason why these should be split, either from generic beehives or as a sub-area. It's not like the Igloo gets its own bespoke page, why should the Beehive?
  2. PrincessPeachFan (talk): Well, I'm convinced.
  3. Pseudo (talk) Beehives are beehives.
  4. Nintendo101 (talk) Sure thing.
  5. Sorbetti (talk) Makes sense.
  6. Power Flotzo (talk) Per all.

Move information on sub-area here, split from Grassy Greens Stage (moving to a new colony!)[edit]

Keep Split/Status Quo (like throwing rocks at a hornet's nest!)[edit]

Comments (i'm breaking out into hives!)[edit]

I'm not sure for now. The other hives are the honeycomb shaped ones and are called Hachi no Sus in Japan. These are shaped differently and are just Sus in Japan. Will have to wait for a few more comments before I make my decision. PrincessPeachFan (talk) 20:45, May 28, 2025 (EDT)

The Donkey Kong 3 beehives are the same "oval with some rings on it" design, and are also mentioned on the Beehive page outright, if that matters any to you. Camwoodstock-sigicon.png~Camwoodstock ( talk contribs ) Camwoodstock-sigicon2.png 22:18, May 28, 2025 (EDT)

For reasons I admittedly don't really understand, the current beehive page just covers instances where it was used as an item/obstacle and doesn't mention instances where it was used as an area, like Super Mario Land 2, Donkey Kong Country 2, Super Mario Galaxy, and Mario Kart 7.
