Melody of the Sea is a stage in Princess Peach: Showtime!, located on the far right in the third floor of the Sparkle Theater. This stage is unlocked after clearing all of 2F. It is the first stage where the Mermaid transformation is introduced.

LayoutEdit

The stage begins with Princess Peach and Stella arriving at a beach, where a mermaid concert would be held underwater nearby. After a short walk, they encounter a turtle, who had been rendered unconscious by a Sour Bunch merman. As a pair of mermaid Theets tries to bring the turtle back in shape by singing, Peach uses the power of Sparkle on them to help them, with the healed turtle thanking Peach by offering her a ride on its shell. The transformation of Mermaid Peach can be found in the singer's cove, with the room being filled with water in the meantime while the cutscene goes on.

When Peach and the Theets try to perform, the lights go out, and when they turn back on, the Sour Bunch seems to have trapped the Theets in bubbles, which leads to Peach saving them using the transformation's power to acquire the help of nearby fish by singing. At the end of the stage, the player performs a song by holding while tilting to the direction of the fish. Missing a full pattern will cause Peach to take damage. After the song is completed, the remaining Sour Bunch members will be defeated.

Sparkle GemsEdit

Sparkle Gems marked with an asterisk ⁽*⁾ will always be obtained during regular gameplay.

	Found in a sub-area below the Giant sea turtle. Mermaid Peach must strike a pose at a specific area in the lower right to access the sub-area. To obtain the Sparkle Gem, Mermaid Peach must guide fish to open a clam containing the Gem.
	After moving the Giant sea turtle by using pufferfish.*
	If all fish have been sung to during the concert.

Dress ribbonEdit

Ribboner's location

Mermaid Dress: Ribboner is found to the right of the seaweed area, to the right of a Sparkle Gem, and to the right of where the camera previously went. After he is freed, he awards Peach the Dress ribbon, and then jumps out of his small cave.

Help request: "I can't move!"
Rescue message: "All right! Now I can just enjoy my dive!"

All three Ninja Theets are found before the Mermaid transformation.
