Choropū-dan is a missile type that Bowser shoots from his bazooka in Super Mario Kart 1 of the Super Mario Kodansha manga. It is an adaptation of the Fireball projectile Bowser can throw in Super Mario Kart when controlled by the CPU. Without any given explanation, the missile is designed after a Monty Mole.
Bowser first uses his bazooka in Ghost Valley against Mario, after he jumps ahead of him. Mario manages to dodge the explosions and, thanks to Lady's Mushroom, he sprints away from his range.
Later, in Bowser's Castle, Bowser manages to shoot off the road most of the pilots in the lava, but they are rescued by the Lakitus.
During the Special Cup, Bowser uses the missile on Rainbow Road, but Mario is able to avoid all the shots again thanks to Princess Peach's Mushroom.
