Trivia
- In the 2006 E3 Trailer for Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario is shown simply grabbing the Smash Ball out of the air, rather than attacking it. It is possible that they had not considered making the Smash Ball harder to obtain yet, or it was just for the intro.
- When a Smash Ball appears, players can hear the audience gasp.
