MarioWiki:Featured images

At the Super Mario Wiki, Featured Images are those quality, intriguing, witty, provocative, rare, important, and otherwise simply interesting images that can be found throughout the site's articles. Users are encouraged to submit and vote on nominations for the Featured Image displayed on the Main Page. Every a week, a new image is selected to be featured. This is done by subtracting the number of oppose votes from the number of support votes in each nomination - the image with the most "points" at the end of the week will be featured. Any image with a negative amount of points at the end of a week (that is a nomination with a majority of opposes) is removed from the selection process. The only condition for nominated images is that they must be in an actual mainspace article on the wiki. No personal images or images from non-mainspace pages are allowed. New image nominations can be added to the Featured Image Nominations section below.

Well, might I point out that most older artworks of Mario games have this kind of simplicity and quality, per say. What makes up for its simplicity, however, is that it is colorful, it represents a unique and classic game. The game it represents, SM64, is revolutionary in the time it was released, and defined a new era of Mario games. Also, this artwork represents a video game that is over a decade old (if this image were selected as FI, this would be the first to represent an N64 game, and the second oldest FI in terms of what game it relates to). So you see, this image is decent enough and would represent a very important point of time in gaming itself. Super Mario Bros. (talk)

Besides, our next F.A. to be displayed on the main page is SM64. Why don't we feature this image of SM64 along with it on the main page? That would be rather nice to have both of them related. Platitudinous (talk) I have an idea so crazy it just might work. The third character is the Toad named Toad, but player 4 is... a Shy Guy! It sounds odd, but it may work. For example, when it gets a Propeller Suit, it becomes a Fly Guy! Genius, right?
