On August 14, 2026, it was announced that players who complete all 39 challenges in the DK Challenge and are residents of the United States can redeem a physical set of the 39 cards from their My Nintendo account, for no Platinum Point cost, with instructions to be posted in early October 2026.

|Why I Rate It Four Stars|
It's the one that started everything, duh. But, it also has those smooth physics that everyone loves to see.
A rousing battle with Bowser.
It also introduced Bowser and his castles, which are always fun to see. The only problem really is that the mazes in 4-4 and 7-4 kind of suck without hints.

So, it changed up the formula of Mario, but not in a good way. Instead of JUMPING on enemies to kill them,you have to throw other enemies at enemies?????
Also, it gets hard FAST. I don't like the sand digging levels.

But hey, at least it introduced King Wart. That's cool.
Changed ALL the problems the first game had, and turned it into an action packed adventure full of fun. The story is great, the gameplay is great, and overall great game. Only problem is that it's a bit too short, but that doesn't bother me much.
A baby form of King K. Rool appears in the Donkey Kong Country television series episode "Ape Foo Young." At the end of the episode, K. Rool becomes depressed about how he is an "old, dried-up lizard," so he drinks Cranky Kong's youth serum because he wants to become younger and regain his "fighting spirit." However, upon drinking the serum, he becomes a baby. Unlike Cranky Kong and Donkey Kong, who have different appearances in their youngerforms, baby King K. Rool looks identical to his adult counterpart, just smaller with a high-pitched voice. Despite his crown not shrinking with him, causing him to end up inside it, he still has a small crown on his head.
