Hello readers of The 'Shroom, and welcome to Spotlight. Spotlight is a community project which aims to fix up the articles on the wiki which have issues. These issues can range from poor writing to a lack of images, to even just needing a credible source.

Welcome to not only January's edition of Spotlight, but the first Spotlight edition of 2021! Let's be real, 2020 sucked for many of us, but I hope that readers of The 'Shroom and visitors of the wiki were able to enjoy the website and distract themselves from what was happening in the world. The MarioWiki is a huge community, and I hope that we will all have each other's backs going forward into this brave new year.

Our final edition of Spotlight in 2020 did pretty well. Kirbyo (talk) created the Jumping Boots article, Ray Trace (talk) reworded Princess Shroob's personality, The Mansion (talk) expanded on what Buttons do, and Scrooge200 (talk) reuploaded File:M&LPIN Elder Shrooboid UFO.png. The only two that didn't get done were finding a source for Toadsworth's connection to Princess Peach, which, admittedly, is probably very difficult to find nowadays, and the additional images for Star Hill. Thanks to our editors for helping out!

And now onto this month's focuses (we got a winter theme!):

Article Category Focuses
Shiny Ice Flower
Wanted article
Stickers are fun, even better when they're shiny and reflective. This improved variant of the Ice Flower Sticker could use information on how it is different and where they are found. Similarly, Shiny Fire Flower can be created as a bonus.
Nintendo Village
Stub article
We don't know much about SSX on Tour, but for those that have the game, we could use more information on this track's layout. And when you're done, you can relax by leisurely crashing into things on your snowboard.
Frozen Wario
Rewrite and expansion required
It's freezing outside, so much so that Wario is covered in icicles. But despite this form also appearing in Wario Land: Shake It!, we only have information about its Wario Land 4 appearance. Is the ability still an inconvenience, or does it actually have a use this time around? I hope your computers don't freeze when you try putting the information in!
Sneeze, Please!
Citation needed
I'll admit to maybe being a bit dubious over the fact claimed in this article. Apparently the sneezes were sampled directly from the Warner Bros. cartoon, Porky's Railroad, the audio file is public domain so it could be true, but this really needs a source to back it up.
Bluey's Course
Articles that need more images
The course where you race against Bluey the Walrus takes place on the peak of Snowflake Mountain in both Diddy Kong Racing titles. Unfortunately, we only have one image of the N64 title. Perhaps we could have images of the DS version as well, to capture the mountain in all its glory.
File:BulletBill1upBounce.jpg
Image quality requested
Bouncing on Bullet Bills in the snow can be incredibly fun, but what's even more fun is uploading sharper images to the wiki so we can all view the Bullet Bill bouncing!

Now just before I leave you, I'd like to tell you about unimplemented proposals. There are currently sixteen that need to be implemented, one of which dates back to 2018, so think of this as a continuous Spotlight goal until they're all completed.

Thanks for tuning in to the newest edition of The 'Shroom Spotlight! Be sure to turn up next month, where we'll be reviewing the progress on the above focuses. If you have any questions or suggestions about this month's set of the article focuses, then please get in touch through the dedicated topic if you have a forum account. If not, then please contact us on Yoshi876's talk page or Alex95's talk page, but you are far more likely to get a quick response if you go through the forums. You are also welcome to make suggestions on what you think we could focus on in our next edition! Thank you, and good luck!
