Daruma Otoshi-kun are enemies that appear in Yoshi Topsy-Turvy, found only in the sixth chapter, Tale of the Spirit of Fright. They are bird creatures with purple bodies and a beak that is a slightly darker shade of purple. Their bottoms are colored green and they have small, skinny legs and with three-toed feet. They also have small, beady eyes and a set of four spikes on their heads. If Yoshi lands on the spikes, he will take damage. They are always walking forwards, though some do so extremely slowly. They cannot be defeated by any means.

  • Shogakukan guide: カラスのような頭に、ダルマ落としのような胴体という姿が特徴。壁などの障害物にぶつからないかぎり、同じ方向に歩き続けるという性質がある。[1](It is characterized by its crow-like head and dharma-drop-like body. It has the characteristic of continuing to walk in the same direction as long as it does not hit a wall or other obstacle.)
  • Mediaworks guide: たおすことができないキャラ。ダメージを受けるだけなので、なるべく近よらないようにしよう。[2](A character that cannot be killed. Try to stay away from them as much as possible, as you will only take damage.)
