Cursed Mini Mario is an enemy that appears in Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars. It is a Mini Mario under the control of a small blue monkey robot attached to its head.[1] Cursed Mini Marios have a purple tint over their bodies, and their eyes glow red.
History[edit]
Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars[edit]
When the player enters a level where Cursed Mini Marios are present, a cutscene before the level begins has the monkey robot appear and turn a specific Mini Mario in the level into a Cursed Mini Mario. Cursed Mini Marios activate automatically and start marching onward, interacting with other elements the same way a normal Mini would. However, as they are enemies, Cursed Mini Marios break any Mini that they touch. They are impervious to enemies, long-distance falls, and spikes, on which they are able to walk normally. As shown in Level B-14, Thwomps come to a stop when they hit a Cursed Mini Mario. Unlike normal Mini Marios, Cursed Mini Marios cannot collect coins, M Coins, or hammers, and they are unable to enter the Goal Door. Cursed Mini Marios turn back into normal Mini Marios if another Mini hits them with hammers, slides into them, or is fired at them with a cannon. Doing so is required because the Mini Mario that was turned into a Cursed Mini Mario, as with all Minis in each level, must enter the Goal Door to clear the level.
Mini Mario & Friends: amiibo Challenge[edit]
Despite not appearing in Mini Mario & Friends: amiibo Challenge, a Cursed Mini Mario can be seen in the background of an in-game advertisement for Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars.
