A Propeller Block is a type of block that appears in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. It has the same function as a Propeller Mushroom, with the exception that players can maintain the ability to use the Propeller Jump even after being hit as long as they are holding the block. To use it, the player must pick it up (shaking the Wii Remote and pressing One Button) and hold it (by holding down One Button). Then, the user must shake the Wii Remote anytime in order to fly. This block is found at least once in each world (except for World 1), usually in stages where fog is found and in places where there are things floating or in places beyond the reach of the character.

The Super Mario 3D Land equivalent of the Propeller Block is the Propeller Box, which Mario or Luigi can wear over their bodies. The Propeller Box is lost once the player finishes the level but rewards the player with an extra life. While wearing a Propeller Box, Mario or Luigi cannot throw boomerangs or fireballs, or turn into a statue, but they are able to swing their tails.
