Happy July, everyone! Hope you're all having a great summer!

...What, expecting someone else? Normally Roserade (talk) would be talking here, but he was unable to put Fun Stuff together this month, so I'll be taking care of it in his place! Don't worry though, he'll be back next month, as long as I feel like letting him take control again.

Lakituthequick (talk) is back with It's aMAZEing this month, so please sure to check it out, along with our other great sections. If you're interested in writing your own sections, be sure to check out the sign up page for more info.

That's all I have to say, so enjoy the issue!

Section of the Month

Congratulations to LudwigVon (talk), who finished first place this month! Congrats as well to FunkyK38 (talk) for second, and to LudwigVon again for third! Thanks to everyone for reading, writing, and voting!

Hello everyone, I hope you're all having a nice summer! This month, I'm continuing with my theme of adding some more RPG-based anagrams into my section, and this time I'm going with a set based on Super Paper Mario, I hope you'll enjoy them. And of course, if there's anything you'd like to suggest for a future theme or funny anagram you've found that could be incuded, don't hesitate to let me know on my talk page or by sending me a PM on the forums, I'd always be more than happy to hear from you!

How it works...

Basically, this puzzle consists of solving the anagrams. Each month has a specific theme, which will give you a clue about what sort of words or phrases the anagrams will be. I've also included the boxes that the anagrams will fit into, so you'll be able to tell how many words it will solve to be and how many letters will be in each word, which should give you a hand too. You'll also notice that within each set of boxes, one of the squares are yellow. As you solve each anagram, note down the letter which appears in the yellow squares, and if you can solve all of the anagrams, you'll also get a bonus anagram to solve from completing all of the others. I've included the letter configuration for this one at the bottom too, just to give you an extra helping hand. Best of luck!

Bonus Anagram:

  1. Merlee's Mansion
  2. Lady Timpani
  3. Thudley
  4. Fracktail
  5. The Bitlands
  6. Count Bleck
  7. Sammer's Kingdom
  8. Dark Prognosticus
  9. Chaos Heart
  10. King Crocus IV
  11. Flipside
Bonus Anagram: Gloam Valley

  • Click the line, pencil or brush tool and adjust the size as needed
  • Draw your line through the maze from start to finish

Hiding Koopa

Written by: LudwigVon (talk)

Koopa Troopa from Mario Kart 8.

Your attention, please! This is a message that is addressed to all woomys, ngyes, veemos, and oomis around! The Final Fest is inkoming!

Yep, here it is! Splatoon 2's final Splatfest has already arrived. After two years of splats, carrying teammates, squid parties, squidbaggings, winning and losing streaks, and that is without mentioning the amount of salty players (Splatfests are rigged, Fix your online Nintendo, #GearForAll, PleaseAddAntiCheat), we can say for sure that it's been a good ride. Oh, and as any professional must do, I will remain neutral, and wishing good luck to both teams. Let's go Team Order!

So, let's take the time to celebrate the end of Splatoon 2's Splatfests and all the fun they could give us by participating in a new round of Hiding Koopa with a Splatoon 2 artwork! Make sure to find where these five pesky little Koopas have decided to hide. Have fun!

Did you manage to find them all? Whatever your result, thank you for playing, and come back in August for another Hiding Koopa. Meanwhile, happy gaming!

Where in the Marioverse is Carmen Sandiego?

Written by: FunkyK38 (talk)

Each issue, you will be given a case to solve and clues to use to help you find the solution! Use your Mario knowledge to crack the case!

You will begin each case at the scene of the crime, and you will be given three clues from passerby as to where the next hot spot is and what game it’s from. Using your knowledge of Mario games and the Super Mario Wiki, figure out where the crook is and go track them down! There are four locations each round: the crime scene (1) at the start, two locations (2 and 3) with clues, and the hideout for the crook of the month (4). Answers for locations will be given with the corresponding round, for example, the clues from the crime scene will lead you to location 2, and once you open the spoiler bubbles for location 2, you will be given the correct answer. You can open the clues for each location in any order you’d like, but be careful! You may encounter an incorrect clue that could throw you off the case!

Clues offered will give you a hint either about the next location or the game it’s in. Unlike a regular Carmen Sandiego game, you do not have to collect information about the crook you are tracking down.

Challenge round (optional):

-Find all locations and games correctly in two minutes or less

-Find all locations and games correctly without using the rest of the Wiki for help

Save General White!
"Carmen's back to her thievery, gumshoe. While we haven't gotten any leads on General White, Carmen has struck again. This time, she's tapped one of her sleeper agents, Terror Toy Tot, to steal the Mario Minis! Mario is frantic to get them back as demands have surged to an all-time high after the recent release of Super Mario Maker 2. We need you to track those tiny toys down and get them back from the tot before Carmen can bag them and use them to commit tiny atrocities!"

"He was hauling a big bag- look, you can see the scratches in the sandy stone."

"He didn't even stop to grab his free hammer!"

"This was the mini third game in the series."

"Yeah, he raced through here a little while ago, in a singles' kart."

"This course is so long. Like, it's the longest."

"I wish we could go back to doing doubles..."

Location 3

He loaded his cargo into a barrel and set off riding it and collecting coins.

"I wonder how he was able to float all that stuff in that barrel..."

"What an odd little RPG..."

HIDEOUT ANSWER: Midas River from Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars The Midas River's barrel jumping event.

The minis are back again!

"Good work, gumshoe! Tiny tot was just getting off the barrel when we nabbed him. The minis were tucked inside the barrel and all of them are accounted for! Mario sent you a gift- your own Mario mini! Perhaps we can train it to look for clues? Good work, gumshoe!"

Guess Who!

Written by: LudwigVon (talk)

Koopahari Desert
Summer's here, and it's hot and sunny outside. At least, we're not being chased by the sun itself!

Hello, readers! It's time for another Guess Who! Summer is here now, and hot weather came with it and I must say that I enjoy it a lot; Is this the same for you? Oh, and in what environment can we also observe warm temperatures? Yeah, of course, in deserts! (Hope you guess it right, if not, well, too bad). This month, I will make you guess three characters who are saw for the first time in desert levels of the Mario series.

Now, enough from me, it is time to guess all three characters correctly. I am sure you will succeed in finding them. Come on, I am encouraging you now!.

Guess Who! - July 2019
It's a Dry Dry summer!

Round 1

  • Previously one of the rarest of its kind, it is today one of the most common one.
  • Apparently, this Koopa seems to have an unhealthy fireball fixation.
  • It reappears in Super Mario Maker 2, as an enemy that can be placed in stages with Super Mario 3D World style. Now, your levels will be on fire!

Round 2

Official LINE sticker from the Super Mario series.
  • This creature made of fire, will chase Mario by bouncing around to try to touch him. Warning: It's too hot to touch it!
  • In New Super Mario Bros. Wii, they gain a new ability. Their heads will grow in size after a few hops.
  • They also appear in a Mario Kart course where they are fired from the Angry Sun himself!

Round 3

  • "Greetings, reader, and to your hat as well. Can you answer my riddle?"
  • In the post-game, it can be seen floating in the sky with a sail. I guess that this is how he goes to the other Kingdoms after the Sand Kingdom…
  • "Hmmmm… Did you guess? You guessed, didn’t you! You’re a GUESSER!"
