Merge into Ground BGM (Super Mario Bros.)[edit]
| This talk page proposal has already been settled. Please do not edit this section or its subsections. If you wish to discuss the article, please do so in a new section below the proposal. |
Do not merge 4-7
This page is already extremely short and is a rearrangement of Ground BGM. I see no reason to keep them seperate.
(Apologies if I have messed something up or otherwise made a mistake, this is my first time doing this so I might make an error!)

Support (Merge pages)[edit]
- Ihavenoideaboyo (talk) Per proposal.
- Martendo (talk) Per proposal.
- Rykitu (talk) Per proposal.
- Salmancer (talk) Normally I wouldn't vote on this, but it appears I manged to put my thumb on this scale without intending to so I guess I should go all the way. Anyhow, this isn't the first "merge a WarioWare: Twisted! record with a song page proposal. The 2021 proposal that created the page Mona Pizza (song) also merged Mona Pizza (souvenir) into the song page, with nary a "it's an item" argument. It even also merged the WarioWare: Touched! souvenir, which had a music video and therefore is the most distinct souvenir out of all the music playing souvenirs, into the page for the song. If we don't merge Super Mario Bros. (souvenir) into "Ground BGM", that implies there is something true about Mona Pizza (souvenir)'s relationship with Mona Pizza (song) that isn't true about Super Mario Bros. (souvenir) and "Ground BGM". I don't see anything on the wiki that backs the implication up, so merge away. (Yes there are differences between Mona Pizza (song) and Ground BGM, but those aren't relevant to this proposal.)
#Ground BGM (Super Altendo Bros.) (Game Boy Advance) The only other instance of a souvenir being a rearrangement (I don't even think it's that distinct) is Wrecking Crew, whose main theme doesn't have a page yet (if it does, the souvenir page should get decommissioned like this one).
#The
Master (talk) Per proposal.
Oppose (Pages are left seperate)[edit]
- Ground BGM (Super Altendo Bros.) (Game Boy Advance) Per Salmancer in the other proposal. We don't want to have subpages or redirects in navigation templates.
- Camwoodstock (talk) Per our vote over on Pumpkin Panic's proposal for the same thing. We'd prefer to think about this a bit more before going for the merge.
- The
Master (talk) Per Altendo - EvieMaybe (talk) this is a page about the souvenir, not about the song it plays.
- Arend (talk) Per Evie. If you think this page is pointless, maybe merge all the WarioWare Twisted record souvenirs into a single page?
- Wilben (talk) Per Arend. I think simply merging all of the souvenirs into a single page similar to List of records in WarioWare: D.I.Y. and List of records in WarioWare: D.I.Y. Showcase would much more logical.
- Power Flotzo (talk) Per Evie and Arend.
Comments[edit]
@The Dab Master I don't think you switched your vote over here despite agreeing with the opposition on the other proposal (which aims to do the same thing). Just reminding you in case you forgot; you don't have to change your vote here. Altendo 20:29, October 30, 2025 (EDT)
I think my opinion is being misunderstood. If we merge this page with Ground BGM, it shouldn't change Template:WarioWare: Twisted! souvenirs because "Ground BGM" and the song "Super Mario Bros." are actually the same song. When the articles are merged, "Ground BGM" is still an article about the song "Super Mario Bros". Therefore it doesn't trip the proposal in question. Now I guess you could say "the WarioWare: Twisted 'Super Mario Bros.' record is distinct from Ground BGM" but we did not treat the items that play songs as distinct entities from the songs for the WarioWare Gold records so I don't think that specific argument works. The reason merging "Ashley's Theme" and Pumpkin Panic (record) is a problem is because "Pumpkin Panic" is a distinct thing from Ashley's Theme; its an arrangement and those have different identities from their original versions. Yeah, what Salmancer said pretty much. He explained it a lot better than I could have. Ihavenoideaboyo (talk) 14:20, October 31, 2025 (EDT)
