Mushroom Planet[edit]

The Super Luigi Series then came to the theaters of the Mushroom Planet. I can't find any sources backing up this claim. Was this just assumed knowledge, or what? -- Shyghost.PNGChrisShyghost.PNG 00:19, 28 February 2007 (EST)

No idea, but for the record, Paper Jorge (talk) added that sentence. Wa Yoshihead.png TC@Y 01:12, 28 February 2007 (EST)
I heard that somewhere before.... :P 3dhammer.gif 3D, if that helps.. it doesn't. 3dhammer.gif
Actually it says so "Now in theaters" or something like that somewhere in the game. Little Mouser.PNGPaper Jorge (Talk·Contribs)

an article for each of them[edit]

Should I make an article of all of the books?

(p.s. I will have the stuff straight from the book.)

Nope, not enough info is know about each. Just add the info to this article.Knife (talk) 16:17, 18 March 2007 (EDT)

I guess i should do that, I forgot I even asked that question...Mario riding YoshiXzelionETC

Capitals?[edit]

Is the S in Super Luigi Series supposed to be capital, or minuscale? · SMB (Talk) · 20:42, 15 October 2009 (EDT)

I'm pretty sure it's never referedt to as the "Super Luigi Series". I'll move it. Hello, I'm Time Turner.

What does Luigi have to say about it?[edit]

Hey, can we have a Transcript of what Luigi has to say about his own adventure alongside what the books say? Or is that somewhere in the Paper Mario TTYD article? Cwjakesteel (talk) 18:29, 13 August 2012 (EDT)

Reference...[edit]

Has no one seriously noticed the obvious reference the whole thing makes? It appears to me to be based on, if not the story, then at least the names of For the Frog the Bell Tolls (there's even a Chapter in the game itself referencing this as well) Here's a link, judge for yourselves: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaeru_no_Tame_ni_Kane_wa_Naru It's mainly the food thing that made me realize it. 64 a reference?[edit]

Trivia
The first installment is for sale at 64 coins, one of many references in this game to the Nintendo 64. The next three installments are for 128 coins each, a reference to the canceled game Super Mario 128.

Are the numbers 64 and 128 references? I'm thinking it's because game programmers just like powers to two. (26 = 64, 27 = 128) Another gossip-loving Toad (talk) 09:01, 29 December 2014 (EST)

64 in any game on any console besides nintendo 64 is considered a reference, because of the nintendo 64 era. Mario has had 64 mentioned in his games more than any, and the number 64 is closely associated with Mario Bros. The point of that trivia is to point this out, and it is ok.Artwork of the Toad Brigade from Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.Toad and his brigade!Toadette model CTTT.png 11:52, 29 December 2014 (EST)

Anime comparison?[edit]

"The ending to the Super Luigi series also bears parallels to the Super Mario anime film Super Mario Bros.: Peach-hime Kyūshutsu Dai Sakusen! In the film, after Mario defeats Bowser and rescues Peach, the dog who has been traveling with the brothers is revealed to be a prince who is engaged to Peach, but was transformed into a dog by Bowser. The spell was broken after Mario defeated Bowser, and Mario leaves the Mushroom Kingdom with Luigi, dejected. The differences between the film's ending and Super Luigi's ending is that Haru was an ally to the Mario Bros. while the Chestnut King was the monster that Luigi's end goal was to defeat."

This part may not be necessary, it seems a bit like a tangent to me. While the similarities are there, it is quite obvious the stories are not the same. Therefore, I don't believe it makes sense to even put it in there. However, I do not know if the story is based on the anime, and since it could be, I am posting. If I recall correctly, the anime is obscure even in Japan. I think it's very unlikely an intentional reference is attempted here. These plot twists don't even relate to each other, just identity reveals at minimum. It's like saying, Tippi is Bleck's girlfriend is a reference to the Mario anime movie, and that somehow actually is closer to it. Icon showing how many lives Mario has left. From Super Mario 64 DS. Alright then, I've removed it. However it is still quoted here if needed or used for reference in the future. Oaktree13 (talk) 09:53, 19 August 2023 (EDT)
