I found out that when this Kart body is used alongside tires such as Monster or Cushion, as well as in use of the Koopalings, a propeller can be seen on the bottom of the kart, with the blade tips colored differently than the rest of the propeller. Should a Trivia section be added to inform readers about this, as well as an expanded gallery to provide a visual? 296lmn20 (talk) 12:30, 29 June 2017 (EDT)296lmn20

Koopa Clown (Car)[edit]

Why is this a separate article from Koopa Clown Car? Just comparing this one's image with the Koopa Clown Car in Mario Kart 8, they look basically the same. And they have the same Japanese name. And they're both kart bodies. Is this a "because different English name" thing? 85.243.109.179 14:14, March 2, 2021 (EST)

The Koopa Clown Car article you linked is about Bowser's Koopa Clown Car that he uses in the main series and lots of other series. This article is about a kart from Mario Kart. That's pretty much why they're not in the same article. Bowser Nightwicked Bowser Bowser emblem from Mario Kart 8 14:19, March 2, 2021 (EST)
The other article also has sections about Mario Kart karts though. 85.243.109.179 14:23, March 2, 2021 (EST)
Those sections are there to note the Koopa Clown's resemblance to the Koopa Clown Car and direct the reader to this page. --Waluigi's head icon in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Too Bad! Waluigi Time! 14:25, March 2, 2021 (EST)
Oh, ok. Sorry, I got confused. 85.243.109.179 14:34, March 2, 2021 (EST)

Mmmm, I'm gonna bump this. The Wario Car and Wario Bike don't get separate pages between their Mario Kart and other appearances, and in Smash Bros., Bowser Jr.'s Junior Clown Car is able to grow wheels on command, most likely as a reference to the main Koopa Clown Car doubling as a kart body. I do not think the Koopa Clown and Koopa Clown Car need to be merged. First of all, Koopa Clown has a separate article as it is a kart, same with other karts documented on the Mario Wiki, and is not the main one Bowser uses in most mainline Super Mario games. Also you could have multiple Koopa Clowns racing around, and I assume those are replicas too. I can let the Wario Car and Wario Bike pass since they appear to be the same vehicle used in both the Mario Kart and in Wario Land/WarioWare series, but as for Koopa Clown/Koopa Clown Car, I'd rather hold back on this. --EleCyon (talk) 06:43, February 19, 2024 (EST)
But what about how they appear to become the Kart version in Smash? Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 11:16, February 19, 2024 (EST)
That's likely just an embellishment by the Smash developers, which also give the Junior Clown Car weapons it never had in any other games. So I'm going to need more evidence before I can accept it. Toadette icon CTTT.pngFont of Archivist Toadette's signature(T|C) 09:08, February 25, 2024 (EST)
I'm also not keen on the idea, the wheels coming out in Smash seems pretty vague to be a full on reference to the kart. Bowser Nightwicked Bowser Bowser emblem from Mario Kart 8 11:52, February 25, 2024 (EST)
MK8DX does reference the Smash ones with the Koopalings alone having color-coordinated versions... the same ones, in fact, with the only change being they're full recolors rather than having a deliberately cheaper-looking design. Even Roy's, which doesn't match his shell. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 12:22, February 25, 2024 (EST)
Don't most other karts in Mario Kart also have different palettes depending on who's driving them though? The colors being similar between Mario Kart and Smash could still be a coincidence. Bowser Nightwicked Bowser Bowser emblem from Mario Kart 8 14:13, February 25, 2024 (EST)
A few (hardly a majority by any means) do, but for the Clown Car it is only the Koopalings, and specifically matching their Smash-mobile colors. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 14:17, February 25, 2024 (EST)
