Regarding this article[edit]

This is not King K. Rool as a baby. This is King K. Rool scaled down as a bit of end-of-episode-silliness. I don't know why the article treats him as one, as he clearly keeps his proportions and personality. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 02:28, May 9, 2026 (UTC)

The article treats him as a baby because he says "Mommy?". I don't think it can be said that he keeps his personality in this form, he's only on screen for like two seconds, says "Mommy?" (which is not something he would normally say), and then the episode ends. Kong (talk) 02:37, May 9, 2026 (UTC)
See, I just see that as a typical "scared" quote, but either way, do we need an article for a "form" that, as you said, is only on-screen for two seconds and doesn't factor into the plot at all? This makes me think of how we don't have articles for the actual "baby" characters in "Toddler Terrors of Time Travel" (with Mario, Luigi, and Koopa's being considered distinct from the later-codified Baby Mario Luigi, and Bowser, and Toad and Kooky's not getting articles... though now a Baby Toad has appeared alongside M&L in TSMGM, but I digress). The point is, this is rather superfluous when compared to Baby Kong (who is named and appears as a separate character in a later episode) and even Cranky's younger form (who has a distinct appearance that is not classic DK, has a hologram-based internal conversation with his older self, and appears more in the episode). Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 02:52, May 9, 2026 (UTC)
I agree that this article as is seems pretty pointless. But apparently a baby K. Rool appears in a manga? Is anyone able to look into that and see what his role is there? And if there is a legit baby K. Rool there and we decide it's enough to keep the article, we could always just remove the DKC cartoon info from the page. Technetium (talk) 19:19, June 25, 2026 (UTC)
Actually, looking closer, it's just an adaptation of this very episode... Yeah this article feels pointless. Technetium (talk) 19:20, June 25, 2026 (UTC)

A Yellow Block from Super Mario World This talk page section contains an unresolved talk page proposal. Please try to help and resolve the issue by voting or leaving a comment.

Based on the vote so far, this proposal may be eligible to close one week early. Please use {{proposal check|early=yes}} on July 30, 2026 at 23:59 (UTC) and close the proposal if applicable.

For some time now, a deletion request template has been put on this article, but not a proposal, so I made it. The main arguments to delete this page were already stated above, but to make it short, this form only shows up for the last few seconds of the episode, has the same design as the regular King K. Rool but just smaller, lacks an actual name, and his personality doesn't seems to change ("Mommy!" is a typical quote that a scared character would say). As such, there doesn't seems to be any reason to have an article for it. The only possible counterpoint is that the form also appears in the manga Uho'uho Daishizen Gag: Donkey Kong, but as far as I'm aware it only adapts the story of the episode he appears in.
If this article doesn't downright deleted, it could be turned into a redirect for K. Rool's article, but I don't really sees the point for this redirect.

  1. Brett (baby) (talk) Per proposal.
  2. Illuminoid (talk) A character being shrunk at the end of an episode does not warrant an entire article.
  3. Wandering Poplin (talk) Unofficial title, nothing more than an end-of-episode gag, not even actually a baby, Yeah, this page is pretty much in the same boat as "Okāsan Yoshi and Otōsan Yoshi" in terms of pointlessness. If we don't have separate pages for Baby King Koopa or Baby Princess Toadstool from TSMBSS (whose respective transformations are actually relevant to the plot of their origin episode), then we don't need this. The only reason I'm not counting Baby Kong is because he inexplicably shows up later as a separate character.
  4. SolemnStormcloud (talk) Per proposal.
  5. Arend (talk) Per all; not even the manga can save this (see comments).
  6. Camwoodstock (talk) This is a single end-of-episode joke where they shrunk the model and nothing else. Per all.
  7. T. Dab Master (baby) Per all.
  8. Wilben (talk) Per all.

Comments ("Mommy!")[edit]

The manga in question is also on Archive.org, and from what I can gather, "baby" K. Rool there is nothing to write home about, either. He appears on two pages, appears as a shrunken K. Rool just like in the cartoon (despite being called "younger"), and still has the ability to speak (saying something along the lines of "I'll remember this, Donkey Kong!" after DK flattens him).
