About "Waluigi (KC Mario)"[edit]

...No. So... you put the "Move" template, and after a day WITHOUT ANY SUPPORT, you move it anyway? That's not how this works. We already discussed the usage of the Romanized name before creating the page. You're not happy with this? Fair and fine: ask. You did (bravo). Did you also put the Template:TPP to inform of it? No (less bravo). You did put the Template:Move, tho. (bravo) But decided on your own, without anybody else even SEE the issue, to take your problem into your own hands. (not bravo at all). Now we do this the proper way. All of your edits about it were reverted. My avatar's face to use in the signature Mariuigi Khed 21:20, March 15, 2026 (UTC)

I apologize for this. Since I once saw a regular user changing a file's name when my proposal had no answers, I assumed that there was an exception for this kind of proposals. I now understand and will not do that again. Brett (talk) 22:19, March 15, 2026 (UTC)

Minor edits[edit]

For small edits like fixing links, please be sure to mark them as minor. Thanks. Shy Guy costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 10:23, April 6, 2026 (UTC)

This also includes adding category links, especially through a long string of edits. Please also make sure that any miscellaneous, non-game/book/TV show/etc.-specific category should go above the categories that are specific to those works, as per MarioWiki:Categories#Order on pages. For example, "Television series original characters" should go above "Saturday Supercade characters". Shy Guy costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 16:14, April 7, 2026 (UTC)

Super Mario Land sprites[edit]

Whether or not the white pixels should be included in Game Boy Sprites or not has been a pretty hot-button issue, and as of right now, the consensus is on "keep them". The bulk changing of these sprites to remove them doesn't appear to have been discussed anywhere before it was posted, and the reasoning given is... Flimsy. Having the white pixels in the image lets users use said images outside of lighter backgrounds, even on light mode. Not only that, but these uploads actually broke the parity with the shades of gray.
We've personally been using (#A8A8A8) for light gray and (#505050) for dark gray for the sake of games like Wario Blast: Featuring Bomberman! and, yes, Super Mario Land, but these images were using (#B0B0B0) and (#686868), which are distinctly lighter... This not even going into the fact the "white" pixels in our images actually use (#F8F8F8), not #FFF, or that most dark mode backgrounds are, themselves, a light gray, resulting in the transparent versions looking muddier on dark mode.
